WiscoFalcon
I think it's pretty obvious who we have to stop in order to win this game. Frank Gore.If we hold gore to under 100 Yards, and keep him out of the endzone,we win.Gore is a smart, patient runner.SF will most likely run the ball, and run it some more. The key to winning sunday is stopping Frank Gore, we do that, no doubt about it, WE WIN!Go Falcons! M0D3RNW4RRIOR
I'm ready coach... Let's go out there and win us a ball game!
Hashbrown3
After we get finished with him, he will be know as Al Gore... and thats scary
blizzard_falcon
I hope to see 8 men in the box on at least half of our plays. If we force Alex Smith to have to win the game with his arm... he won't.
HairyArabFalcon
i totaly agree with the gore comment , but one more person i think we have to look out for is vernon davis. he is far more talented than jeremy shockey and could be a potential problem. im interested to see how we cover him throughout the game. The Falcon Jedi
The Key is doing what we did to the Saints. Control Time Of Possession, wear their defense down. THrow a TD passs. Get a nice turnover.
madman88
i dnt think its going to be as simple as stopping the run, they just might throw the ball more then we expect them to, which means another test for our upgraded secondary.... yea gore is goig to get his touches, but since there OC is gone, and there new one is the QB coach, he knows wat alex is good at, and thats spreading formations... so stopping the run, and pressure will be our keys to the win.... our offense will get theres, were one of the best for a reason.... as long as we play like we have the last two weeks, no dink n donks..... Pejo
All we have to do is walk into te dome to win this one. Smith is never gonna be a good QB. until they draft a QB there is nothing to worry about
IonSen88
Some are too cocky about this game. I've seen this movie before...Hmm??
kiwifalcon
The key in my view is us if our O and D lines play with the same intensity as they did last week and we run the ball effectively I think we can really run the score up in this game.If we do as above theres nothing they will bring to the table that will stop us. The Falcon Jedi
Basically the key is to just show up and play at least mediocre for 60 minutes. This game should be over by half time.
HairyArabFalcon
Basically the key is to just show up and play at least mediocre for 60 minutes. MR2
Some are too cocky about this game. I've seen this movie before...Hmm??seeing as none of us will be taking the football field I think overconfidence on our part has little to do with the outcome
foreverfalcon
The key to the game will again be to control the clock and keep the 49ers offense OFF the field. I just don't see how they can stop us. We may give up a couple of big plays, but we might keep a lid on that too. This weekend doesn't really bode well for the 9ers... they have a huge internal staff issue, a mediocre QB and an opponent who's jaw is set to take charge of the entire game. It's going to be ANOTHER big blowout for the Falcons.
foreverfalcon
One more thing... I bet as a team (defensively) we get at least 4 sacks, 2 int's and 1 forced fumble!

NewFalcon
I'm just going to say the same thing I said when a similar thread was started before the Ain'ts game:The key to winning the game on Sunday will be to make sure that the Falcons score more points than the 49er's.Should be a bit easier than last week in New Orleans. paulitik
We have to force them into making mistakes. One thing we have learned is the 49ers can't handle adversity, and are not reslient. Singletary went off on the team on the sidelines last year and it only made them play worse. Singletary is losing this team day by day. We have to exploit their short fuse early. freebird310
We will blow these MOFO's completely out of the dome, period, end of story.
