By Pat YasinskasWhich wide receiver has the best hands in the NFC South? So far this season, it’s been Atlanta’s Roddy White, hands down.

Of all the receivers (and we’re not including running backs or tight ends) who have been targeted a minimum of 20 times, White is the only receiver in the NFC South that’s been perfect. According to ESPN Stats & Information, White is one of 13 receivers in the league that meet the minimum target requirement to not drop a pass yet. White has been targeted a league-high 40 times and has 25 receptions.

Tampa Bay’s Mike Williams and Carolina’s Steve Smith are the only other division receivers who have met the minimum of targets to appear among the 35 receivers with the best catch percentage. Williams has a 92.3 catch percentage (12 catches, one drop) to rank No. 20. Smith has 11 catches with two drops while recording an 84.6 catch percentage, which ranks No. 31. Williams has been targeted 21 times, while Smith has been targeted 20 times.

no excuse roddy had a 1,000 yard season with harrington and leftwich at qb

to be fair, he got Redman for some games at the end. Redman QB'd the majority or all of 5 games in 2007...

In those 5 games Roddy went:

STL - 10 catches, 146 yards, 1 TD

NO - 3 catches, 75 yards, 1 TD

TB - 1 catch, 4 yards

AZ - 12 catches, 141 yards

SEA - 5 catches, 62 yards, 1 TD

Thats 31 catches, 428 yards in only 5 games.

Is this even a legitmate question. White has been the best WR in the NFCS since 07' with Harrington and Leftwich. With Ryan its only getting better. This will be his 4th season in a row with the best numbers. Then again look who he beat last week? That is not saying much there!

:o

You had to slap the hornet's nest again??

hes been the best wr in south since late in 07

the numbers dont lie in this case

as of now he looks like the best WR in the entire NFC with only A Johnson being clearly better in entire NFL

NUmbers or Not, FITZ is better and Johnson is on another planet.

He beat the great Jabari Greer when it counted! :lol:

That is 69 yards and A TD thank you. You know that project out to:

16 TD and 1104 yards... :D

U know what 149 yards and two tds comes out too? That's what lance Moore did to ur secondary.

I don't think its a tretch at all. Check the numbers the last 3+ years!

Fitz

2007= 100 Rec, 1,409 yds, 10 TDs

2008= 96 Rec,1,418 yds, 12 TDs

2009= 97 Rec, 1,092 yds, 13 TDs

Total= 293 Rec, 3,919 yds, 35 TDs

Roddy

2007= 83 Rec, 1,202 yds, 6 TDs

2008= 88 Rec, 1,382 yds, 7 TDs

2009= 85 Rec, 1,153 yds, 11 TDs

Total= 256 Rec, 3,737 yds, 24 TDs

And yes, I do realize that the Falcons are a run first team, and that the Cardinals are pass-happy. And I know that White had 3 different pedestrian Qbs throwing him the ball in 07. The stats don't lie in this case.
