head busta from augusta
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/09/29/falcons-to-honor-all-of-their-former-pro-bowlers-except-one/On Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons will break out their throwback uniforms on Sunday, during a visit from the 49ers. Per a league source, there's an interesting angle to the event, which will include a slap in the face at a player who consistently has suckered punched the organization. The source explains that the Falcons have made throwback jerseys for their former Pro Bowl players. Nearly 30 of them are expected to receive their jerseys at the game. The rest will have the jerseys delivered to them.Players who won't be in attendance -- but who will get the jerseys -- include former Falcons cornerback Deion Sanders. But the source says that one player will be left out. It's not quarterback Mike Vick; he'll get one.Omitted will be cornerback DeAngelo Hall. We're told that Hall isn't getting a jersey because of the things he has said about the organization since leaving after the 2007 season -- and because of the sideline incident that occurred when he returned to the Georgia Dome last year with the Redskins. Our guess? Hall will catch wind of the diss, and then he'll say or do something that will further justify the Falcons' decision to exclude him from the honor.UPDATE: We're now told there's a split of opinion in the organization as to whether Hall should be omitted. Owner Arthur Blank apparently will have the final say. He has yet to resolve the situation.
DemDirtyBirds4
I actually figured it was Hall as I was reading. He did nothing but **** talk our organization after he left, and I think the sideline incident was the last straw.
didz
Please Falcons do not worry about garbage like this and focus on the games. We got the 49ers coming up and they are arguing about Deangelo Hall. I am surprised Keith Brooking and Vick are getting Jerseys.

Roddyrod
they should give Hall the jersey, when he was making INT's and going to the probowl it wasnt a problem. he earned those probwols and the falcon are honoring probowl players and like it or not D.Hall is one,
Zanka
Well. I believe he should get one. He played great for the team
DUB
they just have to understand that Hall is a child.....and even though he said he wanted to be traded he was hurt when we traded him. He is childish for a reason.
bkjfalcon
If they aren't going to exclude Vick or Brooking then there is no reason to exclude Hall. Vick was stupid. Hall is immature. Brooking was just a complete jerk. Not saying Hall and Vick haven't disrespected the organization and fans to some degree. But considering Brooking's history with the organization, his actions in the Dallas game were the most blatant slap in the face.
crankdatfalcon
brook doesnt deserve to be honored..He messed that up in 60 mins of football..A long falcon career messed up in a matter of minutes. Shows how much class he really had.
Robb4242
All players to be honored, including HallThis is why you should avoid the "rumor" type sites.

since68andcounting
We should've drafted Dunta over Hall way back when. I always liked Robinson better. But Mora wanted "athletic arrogance".
Peyton
I thought the story was much cooler when they were leaving Hall out. That guy was the most selfish player in the history of the franchise, and we are talking about an franchise that employed a guy who referred to himself as "Prime Time". Hammafan58
Hall will be included. As much as I dislike him, he did go to Pro Bowls as a Falcon. If the Falcons are gonna honor those who made Pro Bowls, even that piece of human garbage deserves it.
illest_will
good to see Mr. Blank and the organization taking the high road on this matter. let D-Hall continue to be a D-Bag, doesn't mean we stoop to his or Brooking's level. Peyton
Maybe they could atleast accidentally on purpose mispell his name on the jersey or something.
Peyton
Ok, lost in my distaste for DeAngelo Hall, I completely overlooked that the Falcons will be honoring Eugene Robinson.EFFF THAT!!!!!!

There should be at least 1 guy left out. Plus, he works for the Panthers.

The Martyr
Maybe they could atleast accidentally on purpose mispell his name on the jersey or something.Yeah, the back of the jersey could say. "D. Hill"
Peyton
The Falcons just couldn't swallow honoring Hall, Vick, Crumpler, and Brooking so they came up with a clevel solution. They decided not to honor any active players at this time.Too funny, they make Ledbetter look kind of foolish in the process. Which I am sure in this case is not his fault, as the team was just being wishy washy. The statement from the Falcons is at PFT, too lazy to post it, besides it's lunch time. BirdzEyeView
I believe some of you guys are WAY too EMOTIONAL about this, especially as it pertains to D. Hall! Look, D. Hall has definitely proven that he can be a 1st Class Azzhole, but he should be honored for being a Pro Bowl player during his tenure as a Falcon. Whether you like him or not as a person, the guy DID perform well "on the field" for the most part...

Really a pretty decent idea since none of those guys left without some hard feelings being involved.
