Rev_Hal
I found it interesting this week that the Falcons are not getting more attention from the national media after beating the Saints. I have seen dozens more articles on the Saints signing a 153 year old kicker than on the birds. It got on my nerves at first, but after some thought, I'm OK with it.First off, it really doesn't matter. The only thing that mattes is wht happens on the field. As the season goes along and the Falcons keep taking care of business, the attention will come. And now, I like the idea of flying under the radar for a few more weeks. We beat the teams we are suppsoed to beat, and the eyes will be on us when we face the stiff competition. So don't be annoyed by the national media. Our time is coming. Finally
I keep saying this and no one gets it. Flying under the radar means that it is harder for those of us outside the Atlanta market to get the games. It is NOT a good thing.
5uperbad06
I agree with finally because flying under the radar is just fans don't know how good we are not coaches. I felt disrespected personally when they acted as if the cowboys getting one win was bigger than our game. We had easily the best game of the week (imo) and got half as much coverage as cowboys and 9ers. And when they did show us all they talked about were the saints...Side noteStill don't see how we beat a team in their house and they still are ahead of us on power rankings...That irks my soul
TdotFalcon
I agree Hal. I love flying under the radar, it keeps our guys hungry to win and leaves others the opportunity to overlook us to a certain extent. I would be fine to be under the radar all the way into the playoffs.

I really don't care what the media's opinion is on our team, but I just like to hear anything Falcons. Living in CT, I only see whatver is on NFL network or ESPN. So when ESPN spends only 15 seconds talking about the Falcons and moves on, it gets to me.

I have come to the conclusion I am going to ignore all of the national media coverage on the falcons this year. They will find a way to talk about everything but how good this team is becoming until we make the playoffs and then watch, they will all jump on the bandwagon. phattywankenobi
People will write with varying degrees of understanding of the game or in depth knowledge of the teams so I do not give most much creedence. What I do find particularly interesting is the story behind your sig.

It is a fancy way of saying "my opinion". There is no official power ranking statistic or qualification. If people follow power ranking, i bet they read their daily horoscope as well. Both have the same level of accuracy.

Yeah it's a couple hundo, just eat Kraft Dinner for a week.So all fans should spend the money so we can fly under the radar? Isn't that concept about as stupid as trap games? This is the NFL. The only thing flying under the radar helps is giving the fans an excuse to not feel bad when their team is overlooked. What flying under the radar really accomplishes is keeping fans out of the Atlanta area from seeing games and it hurts the growth of the fan base. Pootie Tang
After the Saints game, I was looking forward to hearing a little Falcons praise from the talking heads. Ha ha all of the commentary I heard on Sunday and Monday was about "how can the Saints recover" and "can Moore replace Bush".

Our time is coming. What really irritated me was all the radio stations were talking about how the DAWGS lost and GT tanked. It was a full half hour before the Falcons were even mentioned on Monday morning. I understand the college thing in the South. It is religion for some strange reason. But a huge game like that, with a win, should get honourable mention at least. It has been like that for years. I recall calling 680 one time to ask when they talk about the Falcons. The reply? "Oh, we talk about the Falcons ALL THE TIME.Right.When we win the Super Bowl, they will interrupt talking about college basketball for five minutes to deliver the news. Our local sports stations suck.

It just irritates me when everybody talks about THE game of the weekend (Falcons @ Aint's) and I'm forced to watch Philly @ Jax, neither of which have any interest in my region. Finally
What is worse is that right after the games it is not even good coverage. The NFL channel let Favre drone on for a good 30 minutes. I didn't watch it all but the parts I caught were ridiculously boring.
Peyton
The Falcons aren't flying under any radars. The team was expected to be very good, and they are very good. A pretty decent portion of peoople expected them to beat the Saints, and pretty much everybody expected it to be a tight game.People haven't really seen anything different from the Falcons than what they expected so far, so there isn't really much to report. The teams that get a lot of media coverage at this point are teams that have achieved dramatically better or worse than expectations, and the Falcons just don't fit into either one of those categories. We're not one of those teams yet. That's why the Giants are on Sunday night for the second time in the first four weeks of the season this weekend in spite of being awful. The Janitor
Since the falcons pretty much play mediocre teams for the next 2 weeks in the San Fransisco and Clevland wit averge QB's such as Alex Smith: who in my opinion is now gaining confidence Seneca Wallace: Someone who is givin the oppurtunity who will clearly take advantage of it but isnt a match for our defense. We wont get much papparzzi until we step into Lincoln Finacial Field @PHI and hopes Vick goes undefeated until then so it will be a NFC battle
