The Janitor
Obviously if u were paying close attention to the STEELERS game Ryans passing game/decisions kept us in the game with no sign of a running game AT ALL. That is until he tried to do more than he was suppose to and threw the eye-catching INT frm #43 due to nervousness and the beaten he had taken frm the steelers D-LINE throughout the 1st 4 Quarters. The Arizona game he stood in the pocket very calmly at times(Whenever that dam BAKER)wasnt holding besides that he kept his composure much of the game..Snelling stepped up and is soon to become a name on this franchise sooner than u think since norwood-en legs is obviously gone -_-. Ryan seems to be more progressed than his last 2 seasons: Rookie season - which was a learning process and a very dam good one, but a good year to utilize his attributes and the year he pretty much made history.Sophmore Season - the team were plagued with injuries frm at least 4 players(starters) or more including ryan wich gave him a major set-back but still managed to return and give his all and lead us to a winful 9-7 winning season. But realistically Sundays game was a very memorable one and a way to carry yourself onto a very meaningful victory aginst the LAMBORDI HOLDING SAINTS! I was optimistic about the game before it even started because my personal fear or DREE Brees as a professional QB. No doubt, aside those 2 INTs #9 did a good job in his dome as he should have but we were MENTALLY there the entire game..BLOW for BLOW!! I looked at this rivalry game closely compared of a Heavyweight fight something like mayweather and shane. With that being said Matt "Icy Hot" Ryan has reached his peak with looks to be a abundant amount of confidence they way he was screamin at the OLINE during OT. But here he stand as with a : 94.3 passer rating one less of a INT than dree brees(the best quarterback in the leauge a yr ago) and a couple more jus to name a few..... GB-Rodgers NY-Manning MN-Farve (sadly) THE CLEANUP: Ryan is a good quarterback and a star on this team but he is now on his way to being a SUPER-star and a great quarterback this year against the schedule we have. He has the oppurtunity to expose teams and showcase himself against said to be great teams in superbowl fav picks. We already beat the champs with fire in our eyes and right now i really feel sorry for SAN FRAN becuase this team wit ryan under center is a very dangeruous team.My prediction: 12-4 or 13-3 if we have no injuries Edited September 29, 2010 by The Janitor
AMERICAN NIGHTMARE
Matt Ryan is definatly the answer. Im getting sick of people saying how hes not an elite qb or he cant win the game without the run or how we are doubting him as our qb. They need to shut the **** up. he has taken us to our first back to back winning season. he was rookie of the year. In the saints game NO interceptions. To me Matt Ryan is phenomenal and one of the best qbs in the leage today. Edited September 29, 2010 by Romero57
illest_will
lol, how is the rivalry like a heavyweight fight akin to Mayweather and Shane Mosley? just messing with you, I agree on all accounts, even throughout the Steelers game I thought Ryan played a good game, and I saw an instant change in our offense's effectiveness with the dump offs. i think by the end of the year this whole team should be gelling and ready to tear up the league during the postseason
vel
Ryan is one of those QBs that will win at least 1 SB because of his will to win. I was calmed when I saw the passion and fire in his eyes after that first touchdown. It low-key gave me chills. We have a true QB and not no sanchize crap. The only thing i could think of when i saw that happen was Ryan going from regular to Super Saiyan lmao I know nerdy right? But it gives us even more excitement and pride as a fan base to know that we have one of the top QBs of the next decade on our team.

Finally
I think people go too far in both directions on this debate. I am very pleased he is our qb. I think he will be great. I am not prepared to say he has arrived yet because I don't think he has. I do have every confidence it is coming though.

Funny how people thought we were toast after the Steelers game, and now we are the '85 Bears. Im like you, im in the middle on Ryan. He has been very inconsistent, but with flashes of brilliance.I am waiting until the end of this season to start trying to pin down what type of QB he actually is. This is his 3rd season, so this should be the best representation of who he is going to be in the future.

He needs to match up better against good defenses on the road. As far as where he ends up? I dunno either. I think we are in great shape if he ends up being a consistent top 10 qb. If it is top 5 so much the better but we wouldn't see that probably for another couple of years.

The Janitor
Great posting man .......+1 If Matt Ryan cant compete successfully against the SF 49iners defense or the Cleveland Brown defense then we can speculate..but until then i say ryan puts up big numbers and wins within the next couple of weeksso with that bein said i say we start 4-1 by week 6 Edited September 29, 2010 by The Janitor
