atljbo
linkNFL Draft Live Wire for the Week of 9-2727 SepNFL Draft notes and news after the fourth week of the college season. Major updates on the decisions many of the top underclassmen around the nation are facing. Also, names of the prospects scouts have been speaking highly of recently.- Sources have told us that USC Trojan junior Jurrell Casey is likely to enter the draft after the season. We previously mentioned a number of scouts from the area think he has first round potential and during the latest round of conversations they told us they expect Casey to continue his upward movement.- The other Trojan receiving positive reviews from the scouting community the past few weeks is wide out David Ausberry. The big pass catcher often gets pigeon holed as a slower, possession receiver but sources have said Ausberry has previously run the forty in the 4.4’s.- Its’ looking more and more like Akeem Ayers will enter the draft. The junior linebacker has been drawing rave reviews and could be selected in the top half of round one. Ayers was dominant in all aspects of the game during the drubbing of Texas by UCLA this weekend.- Early indications from South Bend say receiver Michael Floyd and tight end Kyle Rudolph will enter the draft at season’s end.- The situation is not as clear for Longhorn cornerback Aaron Williams. Sources have told us Williams has been concentrating more on the season at hand rather than future plans. Numerous people have told us the way it stands today Williams will return to Austin for his senior season. We rank Williams as the best NFL prospect in a loaded Texas secondary.- Two other Big 12 cornerbacks have been receiving positive talk in the scouting world. Area scouts favorably view both Jimmy Smith and Jalil Brown of Colorado and feel once they receive proper coaching their games will really take off.- From a personal point of view, we continue to be unimpressed with Ryan Mallett. His passing numbers against Alabama were deceiving as Mallett threw several costly interceptions and more to the point, was unable to correctly place his passes. The latter, which we’ve spoken about regularly, really cost the Razorbacks points and scoring opportunities.- Another highly rated prospect that fails to impress us is Boston College tackle Anthony Castonzo. Many from his camp think Castonzo will be a top five pick yet against a downtrodden Virginia Tech team he struggled handling speed rushers and was beaten a number of times off the edge. Top ten left tackles cannot let that happen.- Speaking of struggling, we hear Oakland Raiders fourth round pick Bruce Campbell has looked awful during his short NFL career. Campbell, who was pushed inside to guard, is having a tough time adjusting and is getting tossed around in practice.

DirtyBirdSupabowl
If Ausberry ran a 4.4 he would be a top 10 pick but I am sure he doesnt.
Dynamic Duo
Why on earth would you put an athletic tackle at guard . Campbell makes for a terrible guard, he doesn't have the strength to play there. I think he could excel at tackle in a few years.

They also put a 6'8 OT at Center. Thank God they moved him back to OT.
