Testasparo
Chris Peterson? Gus Malzahn? Who will it be?
aPureTerror
Some things you just can't blame on the coach. Ealey in his short career has had THREE fumbles inside the opponents 10 yard line. Marlon Brown's holding call was HUGE. The defensive and offensive line just simply have to get better. Can't always blame the coach.
nativefalcon
Mark Richt, I bet they give him one more year. He couldn't help AJ green doing his stupidty, plus the new defense scheme they don't have the right players YET, but a great positve that have a good rook QB that will pay dividends, its down year. Only way to look at it. Anybody that wants him out is braindead, Who you want Petrino? :P
aPureTerror
Another thing that all these "fire Mark Richt" people have to realize is that it's not easy to win the way CMR has won. It's not like great coaches grow on trees. We're going through tough times right now but you know what...if you coach long enough it will happen to you. This team still has a ton of upside and I'm very excited about that. I'm very disappointed in this loss but I look forward to having A.J back and getting a win in Boulder next week. Testasparo
I'm definitely not in the "fire Mark Richt" crowd. I'm a Gator fan, so I am absolutely in favor of UGA keeping Mark Richt, preferably forever.

Faithful Falcon
This UGA team is the most undisciplined team I've ever seen in any sport and that HAS to be blamed on the coach.Right one. People are so quick to defend Richt, because he has beaten Florida and won an SEC Championship. In which some players sold their ring. Then they wanna talk down on AJ Green. Our National Title is 30 years old.

theDIRTYcode
muschamp is the coaching in waiting at texas, dont know what the buyout in is contract isHe doesn't have a buyout. He's on a 1 year contract that automatically renews every year until he takes over for Mack Brown. So he is definitely a possibility. lex7500
Add Jim Harbaugh of Stanford. He is looking strong in his 4th year at Stanford and his team last year and this year have played well.

Gritzblitz 2.0
I think that it comes down to the rivalry games. If Richt can win a couple of the games with Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, and Tech then he may buy himself another season. After all, they have recruits on the hook that they would lose if Richt were fired. But if they lose to Tennessee, Auburn, and Tech then all bets are off. Testasparo
PetersenPattersonHarbaughSumlinGrudenReal nice list. Although Gruden is such a giant Gator fan that I don't know if he'd even entertain coaching the Bulldogs.

Most likely, he can save his job for another year if he can somehow pull off upsets against the big rivals. prior to tonight, i was 99.99% sure that he would be the head coach next year. now, im about 50%.and i've been a huge proponent of cmr. couldn't ask for a better guy and i'm extremely grateful for what he's done here, but he's really starting to lose me. and i hate to say that. Carter
Chris Petersen will never mesh with the strong religious tone in Georgia and how much those values mean to the university being represented in the football program.Gary Patterson shouldn't want to leave TCU, especially with the Mountain West seeming to become more and more deserving of an automatic BCS tie-in than two of the conferences that currently do.Jim Harbaugh will only leave Stanford to be the head coach at Michigan.Kevin Sumlin has literally no ties to Georgia or the region in general. When he moves up, he's going to stay in the southwest/midwest area.Gruden.... don't make me laugh. The only person I want replacing Mark Richt is Will Muschamp. He has strong ties to Georgia and the larger region in general. He has developed strong relationships in the state of Texas. He has proven himself as a coordinator and coach to the point that Texas wants him to eventually replace Mack Brown. And I believe he has said that he would only leave his position at Texas to be the head coach at Georgia. (But don't quote me on that.)But I don't believe there is the slightest chance Richt gets fired unless we miss bowl eligibility. There is going to be a lot of fallout if he does get fired. We will lose a lot of great recruits and a defensive staff that I feel is championship caliber.

Its even tougher to lose three straight games against teams with lesser talent. If Richt turns it around by the end of the year, we'll see. Until then, can we blame someone besides the players? Dawgy
Muschamp? Really. He's unproven as a HC. Even Bobo has beaten him head to head when he was at Auburn. I do not like that at all. To me it seems like that his reputation is far in excess of his achievements. Chris Petersen is the best bet- if he ever comes. If he wins, no one will care about the religious overtones in GA. UF did the same with Meyer, and i would bet that is what McGarrity would lean towards. Also, Harbaugh, though I do not see him coming. Finally Kyle Willingham (sp) from Utah.Kirby Smart has burnt his bridge with GA, and he is even less accomplished than Muschamp.
