Turner not 100%

Recommended Posts

Snelling is just a Machine. He does everything asked of him, and keeps the motor running. One of the best 7th Round picks ever, I think.

New Orleans has not looked good against a run game with a physical back the last 2 seasons. I still can't understand why the Vikes didn't hand off to AP more than 19 times. Gore is SF's main threat & they could'nt slow him down plus the fact they made Alex Smith look good. The Saints are fortunate to be 2-0, but they are a good team. With each week they will get more in sync. If the Falcons can play smash mouth football, control the clock, & not turn ball over, they win by 3. Snelling is a smash mouth type of runner. Turner still looks like either he is atill hurt or trying not to get hurt again. (Just my opinion)

Sept. 23, 2010 4:10 p.m. - RB Michael Turner (groin) fully participated in practice on Thursday. However, Turner doesn't appear to be 100 percent healthy. On Wednesday, Turner said he couldn't put a percentage on how healthy his groin feels. He injured it in the first half against Arizona.

He fully participated on Friday too. Again, No one is 100% as soon as Season starts.

Steve Wyche on NFL mentioned yesterday that Turner is feeling good and would play.

Thanks for the report. I prefer Turner starting, but maybe he can help us control the clock later in the game. Either way, I still feel good about our chances Sunday.

Our run D has always been suspect. Snelling will still do a good job even if its primarily him with the carries. Its up to the Saints to score quick and get them down by a couple scores early and force the Falcons to pass.

Heres to an injury free game. Looking forward to a close one.

we did this last yr remember....

brought Turner back to soon and he was gone for the yr.....

dont wont to see that happen again....

i am sure our Staff is aware of this and have the same concerns...

Exactly, Snelling came in against the Giants last season and played well. Turner was rushed back and it probably cost us the play-offs. The Saints are familiar with Snelling but if MM adds some wrinkles in the offense(I Hope) I feel Snelling will be effective against them. Play Turner but sparingly.
