this isn't emotion-based, our defense might have given up only 22 pts this year, but offensively we have never, and this is throughout the new regime, the only team we beat that had a very good chance to beat us was the packers in 08' and the saints in 08'. we have not beat a very great passing team under the new regime, and of course we have a shot at winning, but some of you and half the nfl need to realize people keep talkin bout we have the best chance to dethrone the champs, no we don't are you insane, we don't have anywhere near the defense to stop them or the offense to keep up.

saints win 31-14

stains gave up over 5 yds per carry to Gore. Snelling averaged over 7 yards per carry last week. Why don't you think about that for a minute and let it sink in.

This is why I harldy even visit this board anymore. This is just ridiculous. Our defense is improved and faster. Remember we have Robinson, Spoon, and Moore? And our offense can't keep up? We just put up 41 pts on the Cardinals. And don't give me some BS about the Cardinals defense not being good. Anytime you can put up 40+ on a team in the NFL, especially with your #2 WR and #1 & #2 running back out, I think you're doing ok in the offense department. ****, last year we averaged 25 ppg against the Saints, and one of those games was with Redman. Go away troll.

OK so, we can't beat a good passing team, but you list two good passing teams we beat, including the team we're playing.

you claim that we can win and we won't win.

Contradict yourself much? Sounds like this is all emotion to me.

Here's some facts for you:

Falcons played the Saints last year minus Ryan,Turner, Norwood, Jenkins, HD, and 3 Olinemen- that's 8 of the top 14 offensive players missing- and came close to beating the saints. All those players, except Norwood, are available this week.

Falcons have radically upgraded the D with Robinson, Spoon, Moore and Jerry.

Saints are minus Bush. Casillas, Harper and , probably, Gay.

Falcons are a much better, healthier team than the one that lost by a combined 11 points in two games last year.

Saying they can't win is not logic- it's pure emotion.

Under this regime - the New Orleans Saints have scored a total of 110 POINTS and the Falcons have scored a total of 109 POINTS. Difference in points = 1 point difference scored in 4 games.

That's an average of 1/4 point per game.

The problem - we lost 3 of those 4 games.

If anything, our defense has been weak against the pass, which didn't help us win but one of these games.

This year - our secondary is very, very improved.

This regime finally has majority of the players on defense we need to run the scheme. We aren't complete yet, but the picture is getting clearer and clearer each week. The offense is starting to click, and we are getting Jenkins back, how had his best year when HD was in the lineup at slot. Plus we didn't have Tony G then, so our passing offense has more weapons than ever.
