Falcons vs. Saints - some Stat comparisons

Recommended Posts

FALCONS OFFENSE—OVERALL (6), RUSH (4), PASS (14)

FALCONS DEFENSE—OVERALL (16), RUSH (26), PASS (10)

SAINTS OFFENSE—OVERALL (21), RUSH (31), PASS (12)

SAINTS DEFENSE—OVERALL (23), RUSH (19), PASS (20)

I cant believe you posted stats after 2 games into a 16 game season. Toss em'...this is a rivalry game and those stats mean absolutely nothing.

Those are just as meaningful as: since 2006, the Saints are 7-1 against the Falcons... 7-1!! It's really sucked to be a Falcons fan lately hasn't it??

We should watch out for the screen passes since they know we will be blitzing more often to disrupt Drew Brees. We can't allow Thomas to run on us because that really sets up the play-action and we would be vunerable at that point. I say with their nickel back out we spread the field and have check downs and draws and let Matty Ice pick them apart.

I love this team always and forever. B)

New season and new team. You can go off the last 8 games played if that makes you more at ease at night when you sleep. Just remember we always play each other close even back when we had Vick. It's just that each team knows the other personnel and schemes better each year and that is why we have such a strong rivalry. When we win Sunday, we can forget the past and say we are 1-0 for 2010 againts the Aints. Heres to a great game with no injuries.

Not only that, but our safetys be playing loose and deep alot of the time. For sure we could be very vulnerable to screens and flats to Thomas if our LBers overpursue.

I know, that's why I said the stats listed above are just as meaningful as the 7-1 stat, they're not meaningful at all.

It's gonna be a close game for sure.

of course not if they favor the falcons. if the numbers were reversed you would be singing their praises!

heck, ATL is an overtime run away from being a top 3 defense statistically.
