"The 2006 Falcons showed similar character by dropping consecutive games to the Lions and Browns after wins against the Steelers and Browns."

Other one should be Bengals? I don't remember.

Yep. Thanks. Three people have edited my article already and they all missed that lol.

Glad to see this article posted in both forums. Can't believe people are nitpicking you on minor stuff like 'facts' - that was a work of art!

You can't be a writer if your facts are wrong. That's why they have editors and fact checkers. I just corrected a minor thing, but in order to be taken seriously, your facts have to be correct.

I liked the article, there were some grammar errors near the end, but that is nitpicking I guess, huh?

Usually articles are written to tell stories or to make a point. If a reader comes across something stated in the article that is wrong, and the reader knows it, it doesn't matter what else is in the article, the reader might and probably will dismiss it. We're just helping refine the article.

I got it. I won't be winning a Pulitzer with this one.

LOL man somebody used their whole day's worth of negatives carpet bombing me in this thread. I do hope they feel better.

And I just used most of my positives to remedy that. And I do feel better.:rolleyes:

Great article. Will disagree with you about one thing. Even if the Saints win, and considering there may be 6 new starters on D [biermann, Spoon, Jerry, Moore, Owens-new position, Robinson] and they're going up against Brees, even if the Saints win...

Falcons are not folding, are not giving up- they'll still win 10+ games this year and probably be in the playoffs.

The Mora/Vick falcons would lose this game and go on a 3 game losing streak, not the Smith/Ryan falcons.

It's certainly a milestone if they win, but not a crossroad in the sense that their season veers out of control if they lose. Maybe that's not what you meant, if so, nevermind.

And again, great article, liked it except for that last line.

Thanks.

I certainly do not think the Falcons will fold up, but I do think they need to win a game like this to prove to themselves that they are a top tier team.

And as far as the playoff picture goes, this single game could easily be the difference between the Falcons having to win 3 road games to get to the Super Bowl, or having to win just 2 home games to get to the Super Bowl.

That's a pretty big difference.
