delaigle
this is officially the 6th week right????we really need him this game.Actually I think this is the beginning of week 8 since he was hurt. (not 100% positive)Originally they said week 6 would be the week of game 1 and it might be the only game he would miss.
madman88
well lets look at it like this, we put up 41 points without his 2-3 catches he would have a game, so nothin to worry about there, if he doesnt practice he's not goint o play simple as that, but if he don't play this week and we have a good gaem to be more specific, if HD has another good game, dnt be surprised if he takes over that job, and weems who has been improving to take over the slot..... im just saying.... look out fot it.... He's been gone too long for a banged up shoulder.

I would like to see HD at the #2 WR and Weems get more chances.Missed most of last Sun. game, did Weems play any...other than SPT? MM needs to add some wrinkles against the Aint's. HD had how many grabs in jenkins place?????maybe 2-3, no more than 5. So your point is not valid with harry having a good game. You dont lose your job to injury. If you played football before, then you would know that. And harry hasnt been lighting it up like that to take his job. We dont need 2 slot recievers on the field.. Mid-Nite-Toker
If it comes down to just 2-3 catching attempts a game, I would take HD over Jenkins.Jenkins has size but drops too many. Blocks better than HD but drops too many.Agree losing a job to injury is an unwritten rule, but you got to play who isproducing also. If thats the case, ja98 should have been written off a long time ago and not even be in the rotation. Can mj12 play this season before we go crucifying his gameplay?? Physical gifts mean nothing if you drop the ball given few attempts. TG & White getthe bulk of the opportunities. I hope Jenkins comes back strong and changes my opinion. As I said before we need depth if anything from Jenkins return. Not sure Jenkins makes the play Finn did in the endzone. If you are using JA98 as an example, then Jenkins shouldmove to slot WR or TE(blocking). No one is crucifying Jenkinsbut the NFL is a what have you done for me lately league.White stepped up and Jenkins must also or he could lose playingtime. telfo
HD is best as a slot receiver, he isnt a #2. Jenkins is and is a good blocker

Thats just like the vick/kolb situation. Starters dont lose their jobs cauze of injury.

nuccah
There is a reason we place Finneran out wide in 3 WR sets. Douglas is a small WR who is meant to find open space inside a defense and use his talent to break YAC. That doesn't sound like Jenkins to me.The discussion is not Douglas vs Jenkins. The discussion is Jenkins vs Finneran, and I'll take Jenkins every time.
peoriabird
Agree losing a job to injury is an unwritten rule, but you got to play who isproducing also.Who are you referring to when talking about production? Can't be Harry Douglas! He has only 5 catches for 70 yards in two games! Heck he can't even beat out Finneran or Weems for the starting number 2 receiving spot let alone Jenkins. Douglas is playing exactly where he needs to play which is in the slot. If you are wondering, Jenkins had 7 catches in his 1st 2 games last year.
