I've noticed some defenses appear to communicate on the field and adjust when the opposing quarterback audibles a new play. I don't know if this is a recent development or if I've just started noticing it. I'm curious because Brees is skilled at reading defenses and calling audibles at the line.

I guess the other question is have you noticed opposing defenses making adjustments when Matt Ryan calls an audible? For example, when he changes the play call at the line in the no-huddle.

I think sometimes they do and sometimes they don't.

If they are in a full blitz and are expecting a run but the QB changes to an obvious pass, then they change the play. But if they just change the hot route of something like that then they expect the blitz to get there before the WR can break free.
