If i hear "HEY GUY" one more time

Recommended Posts

All game long people asking me to sit and looking funny at me for yelling!! I am going to make a RISE UP sign and every time i hear HEY GUY from behind me i am going to face the rise up sign in there direction. Its a football game people!!! nice win GO FALCONS

That happened to me last year, I stood up, I was in the front row. Someone like 10 rows back said to sit down. I just said, you know if you want to sit on your *** the whole game, stay at home or pay for front row seats!

That is the one thing that really sucks about the gameday experience here. People act like they don't know how to act at a football game. It's like they think they should sit there in their seat as if it was their couch. You should be there to interact with other fans and the team by helping to make noise at the appropriate times. Sure, I don't want to stand all game long, but there are definite times that it's kind of embarassing when you look around and everyone's just sitting there. I'm with ya.

OP great idea and I think you should do it.

It's pretty **** stupid to think that everyone is going to remain seated at any sporting event much less a football game. Like another person in this thread said, if you want to sit on your *** the whole game either stay at home on the couch or buy front row seats.

I'm all for standing during defensive play, but what about those who want to stand while the offense is on the field. I've seen my fair share of idiots doing that over the years as well.

Tell me that most of you do sit down when the offense is on the field...exceptions allowed of course. But do you think anyone should stand for the entire game?

Really?! I don't go to that many games, but when I do, I yell my azz off. I've never had anyone say "hey guy", though I have seen in on their faces (and ignored it). I'm surprised anyone would say anything ... that's ridiculous. You're SUPPOSED to make noise, people. It ain't the freakin opera!

We do it all the time at college games. It almost helps get everyone in the game. That said, boy are my legs stiff (especially the first time I did it) by the end of the 4th Qtr. Plus the average age of a spectator at an NFL venue is going to be a little older than the college one.

So your the A-hole who was spilling beer and yelling at those kids. they only told you to sit down because you were drunk and the guys kids couldn't see over your phat ***...If i were him I wouldn't have been so polite, they ended up leaving due to you, that's not right. Lucky you didn't catch a left hook my friend

Quick question, where is the evidence that you can yell louder vs. yelling while sitting? I understand the natural reaction to stand up to see something happen at a sporting event but I have yet to see anything with scientific backing saying humans are louder when they're standing. As far as I know as long as you have good posture while sitting your diaphragm should work just as well as if your standing.

Also, to the comments about having the worst fan base in the NFL, that is simply not true, every fan of every team thinks their fanbase isn't good enough, or up to their expectations. The fact is the Panthers had trouble in the Dome last year with the noise and the Cards burned a Timeout early in the 1st Qtr when they couldn't communicate well.

To the point about having the right to stand up the entire game, just because you have front row seats, or seats in front of someone else doesn't mean you have to throw common decency out the window. It's fun to support your team but what's even better is allowing everyone to enjoy the game equally. There's often no difference in price between Row 1 of a section and row 10, we're all spending hard earned money to support the Falcons, there's no reason to be a moron.

I'm glad I sit in a section where people treat each other with respect and we all still have a great time at the game. The core group has been there at least 3 years and it gets better each year.

Geez I got 3 negatives for this? Is it that controversial to say people stand at college games

It's quite embarrassing that we have fans like that....lol YOU ARE AT A FOOTBALL GAME NOT A EFFIN TEA PARTY!

"Was having a jolly little Sunday out until some a hole at the ball game decided to stand up and cheer....ugghhh....*goes back to texting* "

WOW....I wish people like that would just not even buy the ticket. How about going down to little 5 points and painting pottery on Sundays from now on you idiots.

It's going to be pretty hard to find people that are willing to spend $65-$150 a game for tickets to have to sit in a stadium full or people acting inconsiderate. Just because people are sitting and enjoying the game doesn't make them an idiot. There's a reason why the NFL has the bad fan policy and why they remove individuals each game for acting like morons and more often than not it isn't those who are sitting enjoying the game in a reasonable manner.

Like I said before I understand being excited and making noise, but not at the expense of those around you. If you're in a section and everyone stands and gets crazy fine, if you're not, take a visual clue and be a decent human being.

Also, before someone throws out another teams fans like the Eagles, Giants, Redskins, etc. Georgia isn't like the North East, even Virginia is vastly different than Georgia. The culture is very different, just a small example, I think I might have heard Thank You or Have a Nice day a handful of times while living in NJ and VA, I hear it on an hourly basis here in Georgia. People have a different attitude and culture in the South and it's a much nicer place to live because of it.
