2-0.

Does anything else really matter.

That is why I put 2-0 in the subject ;)

It is going to be a slug fight, but the saints defense has looked pretty bad.

That 80 yard drive at the end was beyond pathetic for you guys.

Luckily Brees is outstanding.

I think we all can agree the saints are going to see a heavy dose of turner and snelling. its going to be up to the saints to stop them.

I wouldn't call anything from a win as pathetic. The reality is, winning is the only thing that matters.

Vikings fans whined all offseason long at how they outplayed the Saints in the NFC Title game. They got what they deserved against the Dolphins. Outgain them by 150+ yards yesterday only to lose because of a handful of turnovers.

With that said, the league as a whole right now looks average at best. I don't see any team out there that has looked great through two games. Not one. Dallas could still conceivably get a bye, or at least win their division, and I've been talking all offseason on how overrated they are because their OLine, safeties, and playcalling all stinks.

I said it before the season though, I am weiry about the Saints' chances against the Falcons in week three because of having to go to the west coast for a MNF game the week before. I'm just glad it's at home, and thankfully we don't have to worry about weather conditions. The wind was a factor in tonight's game, regardless of what anyone might want to say. But both teams had to play in it.

And hopefully Randall Gay and Reggie Bush's injuries are minor. Losing one or both of them for significant time will hurt the team more than many might admitt. Patrick Robinson is not ready to be the #3 corner, and Pierre Thomas can not carry the load by himself.

Well I do agree with that.

I hate seeing ANYONE............ and I mean ANYONE get hurt.

Knee injuries are bad things for backs like Bush. after he collapsed I thought the worse, like an ACL or something,I really hope im wrong but it was not a pretty sight.

Injuries are by far the worse part of the game.

The pressure is on your team methinks. You have more to prove than do the Saints.

This is a bittersweet game for the Saints and definetly the coaching staff. I'll wake up tomorrow and see two wins in the win column, but the coaches have enough reasons to be up on the players backs all week.

This Saints team will come out prepared and looking for blood next week. Should be a good one.

True. I guess the only thing worse would've been to give it all up on one run. :P

Good news for you guys is that you get to play that sorry Niner team after our slug-fest.

had it been at the end of the game maybe.

The game was on the line for the saints defense and they gave it up faster then a a slut on prom night.

We get them at home though where the falcons are extremely tough to beat

A win is a win in the NFL so congrats. Truth is the Falcons offense and defense look far better than the saints right now. I can't imagine how many yards/points we'll get if the SF offense can do that against your porous defense!

Yeh and a cardinals offense and steelers offense led by a 3rd string qb are so much better then the 9'ers

:lol::lol::lol:

The truth is we're (still) in first place and you're (still) in third place. Yards won't affect that number if we outscore you, which we have a penchant for doing under Payton (7-1 in case you've forgotten). B)

What does their offenses have to do with what we're going to do against your defense? blink.gif

What does what the Vikings and SF RBs (who bring it every year) did to our defense have to do with Turner (who brought it once, in 2008) is going to try to do against our defense?

You painted yourself in a corner with that one, WFL. Checkmate cool.gif

I love that the Falcons Fans heads have exploded for this game since we played the 9ers tight.

It's going to make them dropping to 1-2 that much more devistating... and that much more sweet for us to go 3-0.

The 9ers played their "Super Bowl" against us last night, they played with emotion, passion, and tried to win for their coach that had put them on the spot all week... they retired their best player of all time's jersy at half time... everything was lined up for the 9ers to pull the upset... and they still lost.

I only hope the Falcons players are as big headed as their fans. That'd be awesome.

The Saints offense has yet to get steamrolling.

Do you think will happen 3 weeks in a row??

Doubtful.

Passing attack looked a whole lot better last night. Drew had a few bad throws (expected) and a few were taken by the wind. But all in all I thought considering the conditions they did a good job. Can't wait to see what they do in the Dome with Atlantas secondary...wink.gif

Pass rush wasn't always great...and Gore ran over us some...but, we still won the game.

This wouldn't have happened with the Saints of old. We've been where the 49ers are right now and it's no fun.
