BamaBoy87
Our offense is about to explode now. The reason we could not move the ball aginst 3-4 teams is because when they blitzed we would go into max protect mode only having 2 guys go out for routes. That's not the way you stop teams from blitzing. Now we spread it out and throw quick passes to the open spot where the blitz is coming from. That's the only thing that was holding this offense back. You could tell how much aggressive our passing game was yesterday we were up by 20+ pts and still passing the ball and that's what i like to see. Poor Saints bahahahahaa! Little do these guys know and thanks you steelers for making a beast (matt ryan)

(Captain Falcon)
Elite in my eyes are those who have superbowls. Hopefully Matt will get there. He's more of a francise QB
You_Cant_See_Me_284
Jeez, chill buddy. Not taking anything away from him but... an elite QB? Is he really on Peyton's level yet??

Little do these guys know and thanks you steelers for making a beast (matt ryan)You just said "about to", meaning it has not happened yet. I would not call Ryan elite. I think he is a good QB, but has some improving to do before he becomes a very good QB. Elite would be 2 to 3 years down the road if he throws for 3800+ yards, 25 or more TD's and completes over 60% of his passes with 12 or less INT's. He has to put up those kind of numbers for 2 or 3 years in a row to be elite in my book.

The real test is this week.
sticktracy
Ryan is not elite yet. In the future he prolly will be tho. Not yet, i'll give em bout 2 more yrs.
Finally
He is a solid QB.He neither elite or even remotely a bust.I would even go so far as to say he has not yet shaken off his sophomore slump. I think he will this year and he will go to the next step and be considered among some of the best QBs in the league. I would not expect even then for him to be considered elite. It is just too soon for that. That is the problem with many fans. No one can seem to manage their own expectations of where Ryan should be right now. They are either disappointed that he is not Manning yet or elated because he threw 3 tds yesterday. I am fine with where he is. If we have a good defense this year Ryan will play well enough to win most games.I just hope he gets his "clutch" back soon.

apl2g
Ryan is definitely not elite. He is good but can be much better! You can't go from being mediocre to elite in one week! It took Peyton and Brady years to get where they are.
phattywankenobi
I would not say Ryan is elite but I do think he is better than average and will only get better. I typically state the teams is fairly balanced run to pass ratio but yesterday in the first half was run, run, run, and run it some more but hey it worked and the time of possesion was lopsided. Two things that should be obvious. Ryan gets a little ancy (nerves, adrenaline, etc) in the first part of the game and the balls sail a bit high. He then calms down and starts making great throws. The other thing is when the running game gets going right from the start the passing lanes open up.
Faithful Falcon
He is a solid QB.He neither elite or even remotely a bust.If Matt would have thrown that INT early in that Pittsburgh Game, he would have shredded the Steelers Defense. The kid knows how to bounce back.
