Billy Ocean
Jim from Duluth at http://theantiorangepage.com/ does a great job transcribing CMR's radio show on Monday nights for those who don't tune in. Tonight's show should be interesting, to say the least.

aPureTerror
Some unsophisticated fans think things are so simple. Half of the time people don't know what actually goes on during a game. All they do is complain and criticize when things aren't working, they have no clue. Why can't we do this... why can't we do that. The coaches do this for a living... when these people are at work doing what they do, the coaches are working on making this team better. It's not easy. Other teams have good players too. Don't some of these ppl know that the coaches know we have good TE's?? Just because it's not happening on the field, that doesn't mean the coaches aren't trying. Sometimes the defense may take certain things away from you and you have to adjust. I just wish people would trust that the coaches know what the h3ll they're doing. The coaches have forgotten more stuff than most of these "fans" know. Oh yeah... GO Dawgs!! Edited September 22, 2010 by aPureTerror

Yup-- those same "fans" would blow their top if someone from the street came in to their place of work, and told them what and how to do their job. I can't believe some of the real idiotic comments (not rational criticism) I have seen on multiple boards.

GO Dawgs!! very well said. bobo explained some of what is happening with the te's in an article today. they are trying to get them the ball, but defenses and how they are playing us is making it very hard. see the last game with aron white.. you see the coverage he had and where aaron had to put the ball for him to get it. more often than not the tes are having to stay in and take on that safety who is coming. it's going to get worked out. That safety won't be able to come up nearly as often.

Billy Ocean
I can't bring myself to re-watch games we lose, I'm not much of a masochist I suppose. But has anybody noticed how often we've used 2 TE sets? I'm going to lay out some opinions on X's & O's. Hopefully some of you will humor my opinions since I've never "been in the arena" and am merely a double alumna of UGA. I would like to see us use some 2 TE sets with either Charles & Figgins or White & Figgins. Figgins is a beast in the blocking game. With Chapas out we could motion Figgins into the FB spot as a lead blocker if needed on running downs. I noticed we did that with Marlon Brown on Saturday. I know Marlon is a great down-field blocker, but asking him to be a lead blocker between the tackles is a bit much. I'd also like to see us flex White & Charles out wide. Doing so would help Murray see if the defense is in man or zone. It would also create miss-matches. And it might help on passing downs when the opposition is stacking the box, provided our tackles can hold their blocks.

GO Dawgs!! one problem is that you can't see everything on tv and the broadcasters are often completely wrong. for example, they were saying there is no wr receiver separation all game and also that there was no short route on that one 3rd or 4th down late. cmr said that this was incorrect Edited September 22, 2010 by U.S. American
