atljbo
I know if we can draft a late 1st round LT like Derek Sherrod would fix 2 positions (move Baker to RT) but man...After looking at the 1st round talented rookies (Mike Williams, Demaryius Thomas, and Dez Bryant) .. With the 1st round talent WR's potentially entering the draft... We could get another ultra WR to go with Roddy and Harry.... I'm stuck man.... A LT or WR in the 1st round. hakim24
Can't go wrong with either one. I might lean a little more to OT simply because WR has so much more quality players in this class.I definitely expect those positions to be our top two picks. It is time to start building around Matt Ryan with elite weapons.
Kennesaw77
WR's are easy to come by later on in the draft. Mike Williams was a 4th rounder btw.

Mike Williams was considered 1st round talent... Some felt he was the best WR talent in the draft last year (even over Dez Bryant). Dude just had off the field troubles so he slipped in the draft

It is time to start building around Matt Ryan with elite weapons. The problem is the depth is in the high rounds (with the #1 wr type talent)... 1st round/early 2nd round... I feel like one of those type WR would help the offense big time... I agree tho... OT is a need also.I like WR prospects like Ryan Broyles,Leonard Hankerson, and Ronald Johnson... They have good #2 WR potential but there is a difference between those guys and Jonathan Baldwin or Michael Floyd

I really like RoJo and Torrey Smith. I would be happier than a pig rolling around in mud if we got Sherrodlate 1st. I think Love is going early. Snelling44
Call me crazy but I wouldn't be surprised if Floyd's stock falls hard late in the year and doesn't end up going in the 1st round.

hakim24
Another huge question mark on the outset is how many of these WRs are going to declare. If someone believes they could be picked much earlier in 2012 as opposed to 2011, I could see some guys staying in school.Even if a guy like Michale Floyd's stock drops, he could easily return to school to try to improve it next year. Kennesaw77
yep Hakim you're absolutely right. However, one guy that will definitely be going (99% sure) is Deandre Brown (Southern Miss.) him and his head coach continuously have butted heads. A-TowN.-
I figured I would bump this while the season has progressed some. I would say right now, who I would like to get as our guys are..1. Jonathan Baldwin2. Michael Floyd3. Devier Posey4. Ryan Broyles *legal trouble*5. Titus Young6. Greg Little7. Leonard Hankerson8. Ronald Johnson
Kennesaw77
why is Hankerson so low Man. He has been dominant.
Psychic Gibbon
Receiver is the most likely position for the 1st round. There is very little depth at the position, and with Jenkins injured... still... there are only four actively playing, one of them being Weems and another being Finneran, who is injury prone and aging. Ryan is having difficulty spreading the ball around since, as it stands, White and Gonzalez are the only ones consistently getting open while Douglas is out of position at the #2 spot instead of in the slot. Meier's season ending injury was apparently more devastating to the offense than originally thought since without him there is very little depth, especially after Jenkins hurt his shoulder. To be honest, that Ryan has been doing so well with so little to work with is a testament to his talent. The Falcons need a deep threat receiver to add depth to the position, help open up White more, put Douglas back into the slot so he can help Gonzalez (or his successor if he decides to retire) get open in the middle, and to open up offensive options via 4 or 5WR formations. This will help the O-line since a target will get open for Ryan faster so he won't be forced to hold onto the ball for that extra second or two. They desperately need another receiver. Kennesaw77
another WR is crucial. However, where I and alot of y'all differ is that I don't think a speedy WR is a must have. I think a big physical WR (Leonard Hankerson Miami U) could be useful as well. Roddy is a FAST guy and he can be the deep threat. I'm not opposed to the idea of adding a speedy guy but I don't think it should be the only consideration.
Mr Pickle1
right but to be honest we don't really need A baldwin or Floyd we just need a #2. Kennesaw77
and Roddy will still be a great WR in all likelihood.

Rai
Hankerson and Brown are two receivers with 1st round talent that might not even get drafted on the 1st day.

However, I can't see him not going in the 1st part of round 1 (barring a slow 40) so we probably won't get the chance to grab him. Brandon Lafell is another bigger guy worth a look. I'm from Syracuse and saw him play some. I was so pissed when I saw Tampa got him!Speaking of Syracuse, I hope we can get their star running back Delone Carter. This guy is big, powerful and fast. The heir apparent to Turner.
