Matt Ryan - Very good

Snelling - very good

white - good

douglas - average

finneran - good

Gonzalez - bad

Baker - average

Blalock - good

jerry - average

peters - ?

walker - ?

Peterson - bad

Lofton - bad

weatherspoon - good

robinson - average

grimes - good

owens - good

decoud - good

Moore - good

Agree? Disagree? Do tell.

I guess I should have put bad instead of very bad. He just hasn't been a threat like he used to be. That is actually sort of a good thing as we want Ryan going to the receivers more, but at this rate, Gonzo will miss his first pro bowl in a long time (actually, did he go last year?)

May be I was watching different game but Gonzo opened up the WR's. They were making sure that Gonzo isn't open.

He didn't go to the pro bowl last year. We have too many good TEs in the NFC. While he didn't blow up in the stats, he did his job of clearing out guys in the passing game and blocking in the running game.

Okay, you are right. This is why I make these threads :) So that guys like you can correct me so i'm not some dumb fan who doesn't know what i'm talking about haha. And he should have made the pro bowl last year.

And I know he opened up lanes, because people respect him so much as a threat, but he has gotten that kind of respect all his career and still used to get 5-6 catches a game even with all that respect thrown his way.

I'm just saying that before this year, I still considered him the best tight end in football, and obviously it is only 2 games, but at this rate he will only end up with 32 catches this season and no matter what the reasoning is, he will be no where close to best TE in the game today conversations with stats like that. I'm not dissing the guy.

Well, the good thing about Tony is that I don't think he cares much about the numbers now that he has 1000 catches. He just wants to see the W's and lots of them. And at least one W in the playoffs would fulfill the reason he came here in the first place.

True but that still sounds like more of a role player than a go to guy that he has been. I can officially say Roddy White is a better wide receiver than Tony is a tight end (at least in my opinion). I upgraded him to bad though. Because you are right, he isn't going to be a huge part of our offense like he used to, but he certainly is still a factor.

also downgraded Baker to average.

Abraham had a good game, just because he doesn't get a sack doesn't mean he had a bad game. Anderson did a good job of getting the passes off before getting sacked. Abe hit him 2 times i think and if i rem correct made a good stop on a RB pass

What may be good for most DE's isn't good for Abraham. If he played like that all year, he would still be a good DE but he would have 0 sacks. So I think it is a less than average game for him.

Gonzo didn't play a bad game, he actually played a very good game. He threw a key block on Ryan/Snelling's TD that put the Falcons up 17-10.

The two catches Tony did have were big plays during the course of the game.

The problem with threads like this is unless you're watching the whole field of play you're not getting a full picture of what players did over the course of a game. If you watch games on TV you're missing 60-70% of what's really going on during any given play.

That is very true. That is why I really post threads like this. So you guys can correct me before I go back and watch the game again (when i do such)
