since68andcounting
I had the binocs on Harry the entire route. He eased up at about the 20, as if he didn't think the ball was coming his way. When he saw Ryan airing it out, he tried to run under it, but it was too late. That ball was perfectly thrown. Had HD stuck with his route, it would have been six points, and alot of the questions about vertical routes and arm strength would have settled down for awhile. In the scheme of things today it didn't matter. But this is exactly the type thing we can't afford to screw up in a tight game. It's also something that we need to attempt more than once (or zero times) a game. He definitely wasn't at full speed the whole way. Had he kept the jets on he would have at least gotten his hands on it.
Hashbrown3
they just need to do a lot of throwing deep at practice so they have the timing right during games. Also practice throwing to the back shoulder and some hooks as well. Everything is gonna be A-O-Tay Buckwheat!!

ESPECIALLY with the high frequency of pass interference calls in the NFL...It's almost automatic, if you play a receiver too close. We'll DEFINITELY need to take our shots against the Saints because I KNOW they will against us!

But, I was wondering why the coach appeared to be upset with HD an the sideline.

birds_till_death
Yeah, i was at the game. when Ryan launched it, i couldn't figure out who he was throwing it too. then i looked up field and saw HD start to gain the seperation from his coverage. Sometimes what you see on TV is misleading. Ryan did miss a TD pass when he failed to see a wide open Ovie in front of the goal line but it is good to hear he was right on the money on the pass to HD. ghostofdonkey
That ball was perfectly thrown. Typical Ryan apologist would say that an incomplete was thrown "perfectly"Well done
dmite
Yeah, I saw Robiske talking to HD after the play. Probably telling him he needs to run his routes. It was perhaps a little over thrown, but it had no chance with HD slowing up.
schwarzenegger321
Typical Ryan apologist would say that an incomplete was thrown "perfectly"Well doneYou're a dumbazz! You realize it is possible to do something completely correct and still fail! Or have you not learned that from life yet? HD, let up on the route. Ryan lead HD perfectly and put the ball 6 yards in the endzone. If HD couldn't get the ball, no one would have. What do you want. 40 yard passes every play? But, I was wondering why the coach appeared to be upset with HD an the sideline.Exactly. He had his man beat and began to slow down. It was very clear. We've got seats in the middle of that end zone, mezz level. He was running right at us. That was NOT an overthrow.
since68andcounting
Typical Ryan apologist would say that an incomplete was thrown "perfectly"Well doneDude, were you at the game with a pair of 7x sitting on Douglas the whole play? If not, then you might wanna pipe it down.Furthermore, I am no Ryan apologist. If you look at my post history you'll see I posted questioning his arm strength just a few days ago.I'm only saying that would have been SIX if HD had run the entire route full speed. And that is a fact.I'm a falcon fan. I don't give a s*** if it's Matt Ryan or Meg Ryan at QB as long as they get the job done.
