nc_falcon
Ok I am a big fan of Norwood and I am siked anytime he is on the field and touches the ball. However with him always being hurt during some part of the year how would it affect the team if he was cut? I dont completely understand the whole cap year thing but how would it affect the team financially if he was cut? kinda like how stokley is done in DEN. He was placed on IR then paid off his time (pro-rated i think) and released from the team. Could that happen here?OK TRUST THAT I DO NOT WANT HIM GONE! but I do want the best for the team. vel
I wouldn't be opposed if it led to us making a move for someone like Marshawn Lynch...
The Birds are the truth
I wouldn't be opposed if it led to us making a move for someone like Marshawn Lynch...Marshawn Lynch may need a new beginning some where else. I just don't know about the Falcons though. Edited September 19, 2010 by The Birds are the truth

Faithful Falcon
I'd take Steven Jackson. Could care less about any other RB in the NFL.
Hashbrown3
I don't know his status and it is sad for Jerious. He is such a great guy w/ a huge spirit. But the poor guy just cannot stay healthy. The injuries are a concern today all around. the last thing we need is to limp into the Saints game. I think it's St. Louis? I'm sick of Norwood being hurt all the time, too, but we just can't go and snatch up another team's STARTING running back! That said, I DO agree that it might be time to look in another direction for a "speed/change of pace" back WHO IS DURABLE! FalcD56
With Snelling playing the way he is and Weems being more than proficient at kick/punt returns, it seems as if Jerious is an unneeded part of this team. It's very sad, as he has so much potential. But from day one, I've heard Falcon fans refer to him as "chicken legs." The man is simply too injury prone, and putting him in a position on this team where he would be needed to succeed would be poor management. He is the only speed back on the roster and we limited depth at the position. If you want to compete the the saints who are explosive and deep at nearly every offensive position you must have playmakers.

If you want to compete the the saints who are explosive and deep at nearly every offensive position you must have playmakers.Dirty Bird can't fly with a broken wing & Norwood limps off the field after almost every play (which is not many due to his injuries). I think Snelling could be the featured back with Turner being the change of pace. Snelling is like a bruiser taking the hits & punishing the defense. Turner at times tiptoes & dances around. I was glad to see Ovie involved today as well.
