Good result, but perhaps we should also think about...

Not a bad way to respond to week 1’s disappointment. We looked much better of course, but if I was a Cardinals fan I’d be really frustrated by the consistent penalties conceded in the first half. It really hindered them, and helped us get a foothold.

As well as our fantastic scoreline though, I think the Steelers result against the Titans is now making us look better.

1) Titans scored 38 in their opening game. Steelers held them to 1 FG for most of the game.

2) When we took on the Steelers we were playing at Heinz Field, a notoriously tough place to play. Today the Steelers were playing in Tennessee, and still totally dominated.

3) Turner was pretty poor in week 1. But Chris Johnson only managed 34 yards today...

4) Dixon got injured, so today the Steelers had their FOURTH choice QB playing!

So yes, our Offense looked pretty stifled against the Steelers, but at least today shows that we won’t be the only ones, and our defence was able to match Pittsburgh’s stride for stride (in normal time at least).

I, too, was thinking about the loss last week during the entire game today. That loss just lost a lot of its sting. And to think that game could have gone either way.

Yep, credit to our defence for that. Polumalu got another interception today as well I see. Even though by comparison the Cardinals defence seemed pretty awful, before the game people were talking about the likes of Dockett and Wilson, and how they could pose a similar threat to our offence. But in reality they never got going.

I can't excuse last week. They didn't beat us we lost. I am not taking anything away from their team that is probably a playoff contender even without Ben but we lost a game we could have won.

The good news is that it was week 1 and there is no reason for doom and gloom but we can't let that happen and expect to be in a good position for the playoffs. When the odds come down to 50/50 you have to find that 1 percent and push through.

Great win this week though. When you make the other team give up with plenty of time on the clock you have done something very very right.
