falcndave
This will be the game everyone was expecting last week. Here are my reason.1) Home2) Not playing the Steelers D.3) Ryan won't spend 1.5 quarters overcoming the yips (throwing high)As a fan base, we are terrible at grading everything according to the last data point. If our last game was bad, we are hopeless. If our last game was good, we won't lose again. We will come out of this with a, "real good, feel good feeling." Enjoy every moment of it. I will. However, keep perspective. We have to overcome looking like an average team on the road before we truly arrive at that next level. Our talent is as good on the road as it is at home. However, it is like many things, confidence matters.Winning ugly in week 3 would cause me to drink the Superbowl cool aid. Beating the Cardinals by two scores will be sweet, but it would just be validation that we are a solid team. Winning a big road game is the next milestone for this team. If we jump that hurdle in week 3, then the league better run for cover! No offense to the Cards out there. Hoever, we are a good team. We should win at home against most anyone. FalconinPA
I think we should be the lowly Cardinals fairly easy. However beating them doesn't mean that we are a solid team. Beating teams like Pittsburgh that have top ranked defenses would show that we are a solid team. Beating the Saints next week would go a long way in showing how solid we are. In order for us to get better we have to beat teams of Pittsburghs caliber. Nothing against the OP, just my opinion.

I think the operational definition of the word "solid" is the only difference in our opiion. To me solid is a wild card contender. The next step is Superbowl threat. I can't wait for next week. Yes it is on the road. Yes the Saints are good. However, it is a venue the team knows well and we played well enough there last year to have something to build off of. The "real good feel good feeling" from this week will be a big help too. Swagger is a good thing, and we need some heading into next week.
