Optimus*Crimes
With all of the negativity floating around here lately, I'm kinda curious as to what you guys need to see today in order to eliminate the "Bench Ryan" and "Fire MM" talk. Personally, I'd like to see us win by a healthy margin(at least 10), Ryan to complete 60% or more, and Turner to have <75yds. This isn't a homer or hater thread, just wonder where people stand. Dirtybirdn@tion
Good post.....I would like to see us throw up a 30 spot on the Cards. and only give up 14 points at the most.Couple of long TD throws would shut a lot of people up around here.... But what if we win by 20 by dinking and dunking down the field?
Dirtybirdn@tion
Ok, I get that. But what if we win by 20 by dinking and dunking down the field?Well as long as Ryan has a 60% comp. rate and maybe 2TD throws. I'll be happy with it. Honestly just win baby, that's the bottom line... Honestly just win baby, that's the bottom line...Winning cures a lot. I just find the negativity towards this team amazing. I see all of these threads talking about how Ryan and MM suck, and very few people stating the obvious. Pitt has a GREAT D. I'm glad we'll have something else to talk about a little later on today. B1GGEN45
Our defense to remember the basics and WRAP UP. I need to see 3 sacks and Turner to hit his holes like he wants to be a falcon.

Will you still think that it was Turner's fault or will you figure out that Pitt's D is way underrated?Once again, not a homer thread. Just asking some questions. FalconinPA
Ryan - I would like to see Ryan looking off receivers, making smart plays, and targeting someone other than Roddy and TG. And tossing a few TD passes.Turner- look like he is at least trying to run. Have 100+ yards rushing and a TD. I feel that if Ryan can get the passing game going, Turner will do his part. Mularkey- Actually have Ryan take a few shots down field. Call a few screens to Norwood and show some originality.
vabchbirdlover
Myself, I'd like for the OL to give Matt time to go thru his reads and at least have a chance to throw deep and open a few more holes for the Burner. If they do that, then you'll see Ryan completing 60% OR BETTER and Turner rushing for more than 75 yds, If not, well, could be a long day. Mularkey- Actually have Ryan take a few shots down field. Call a few screens to Norwood and show some originality.I agree with this. People seem to forget that the passing game and running game are intertwined. If you can't run, you're forced to pass and vice versa. If Turner can break a few, the play-action can work. If passing 10+ yards starts to happen, CBs and LBs have to play off a bit, which will let Turner get going.
Optimus*Crimes
I gotta add one more thing...I would love to see #55 and #71 get at least one sack a piece. Throw one in for Babs and I'll be pumped...
FalconinPA
Yeah, I wanted to throw in another one as well. I would like to see Dunta get a pick six, and play like the guy he was in his first few seasons with the Texans. He was picked apart by the fans last week as well. I am gonna wait until he gets a few games under his belt to make my decision on him.
deja entendu
So here's a question, since you've included some rhetoric in reference to Turner, What if Pitt shuts down CJ2K this week? Will you still think that it was Turner's fault or will you figure out that Pitt's D is way underrated?Once again, not a homer thread. Just asking some questions. I think Pitt's d in particular the rush defense is underated anyway, i think it's only allowed one 100 yard rusher in the past 30 games or something ridiculous like that. So im expecting those 1-2 yard runs against pittsburgh to turn into 4-5 yard gains against Arizona which should wear the defense down by the 3rd quarter. millenium falcon
ryan completed 61.4 % last week. i want to see him close to 68-70%.the main thing i want to see is the end zone.want to see the defense more stout against the run.want to see NO stupid penalties or mistakes. Throw one in for Babs and I'll be pumped...i want to see us get out to an early lead and our defense get like 6 sacks as a result of them playing from behind and abandoning the run. throw in a couple fumble recoveries from hightower and anderson while you're at it. Tootie Quivers
Offensively, I don't have any particular stats in mind. I want the Falcons to be very efficient. Defensively, again, no specific numbers. I definitely want to get some turnovers though and the ability to close a team out on 3rd down. mountain_jim3
I want touchdowns, not FGs.I want to see MM call some running plays that are a little less obvious.I want shots down the field taken.I want to see the staff show some cojones this week and not playing to avoid losing.I want to see Norwood catch the **** ball when its thrown his way.I want to see the defense catch the **** ball when its right in their hands.I want to see screens, slants, and routes other than the sideline out hit on. (Ryan had the other receiver wide open while he keeps focusing on Roddy going to the sidelines more than once.)I want to see snap-count adjustments and Ryan drawing them offsides (easier to do at home)

Other than the broken play in OT (and, in fairness, Pitt's first drive) run defense looked very stout last week.I want to see the receivers other than White and Gonzo combine for at least 15 catches. I want to see Turner run for 100 yards (our winning % is pretty darn good when that happens). I want Ryan to have 2 TD's and 0 picks. AtlantaFalconPokerPro
A dominating win! I want to see all three phases dominate. I want to see our o-line protect Ryan, and create gapping holes for Turner. I want to see Ryan eye all of the receivers before passing. I want to see our defense line pressure Derek Anderson all day. I want to see D. Robinson get his first pick as a Falcon. I want to see WillyMo flying around the secondary like Polomalu. I want to see Harry Douglas step up and prove that he can be a solid number 2 WR.Then, after all of that... I want Carolina, TB, and the NO Aints to lose.Is that asking for too much? If we have a lead to begin with, we seem to keep it. I forget the stat, and frankly I don't feel like looking it up, but I know that when we start with the lead we usually ended with a win... Other than the broken play in OT (and, in fairness, Pitt's first drive) run defense looked very stout last week.I think with Babs being back this is gonna happen regardless. Luckily he was able to play during the preseason so he won't be very rusty.
