Faithful Falcon
On that Hail Mary, he threw the ball over 70 yards and it was on the money. We need the Saints OC, because the next Drew Brees is in Athens.

Carter
Yeah I was impressed with that throw... easily 70 yards and pretty accurate. That arm is only gonna get better with time, too. I imagine AJ Green would make a huge difference with Murray's ability to throw the ball downfield. Can't wait to get him back for our trip to Colorado. Carter
Yes he will and IMO, AJ owes us another year. I know he wont...but he does.He doesn't owe us anything but an apology and he's already given that. If he chooses to leave early, he's well within his rights to do so.Hopefully he stays though, cuz there might not be any NFL games next year anyways. Plus we don't really have anyone that I can see who could step up and be a real #1 for Murray. Marlon Brown needs to step up his game big time. An apology does not cut it for me. his actions very played as huge of a role in our losses, as anything else. Now Im fully in the same boat that the punishment for what he did was Far more than it should have been, but its still all his fault. Think of the team and not just yourself. I will say this, I did not think about what the effect of the possible lockout will have on underclassmen. They may elect to return to college, till the NFL gets its act together. The coaches hyped Marlon Brown so much in the off-season, yet he has been an afterthought so far. Are our coaches so clueless so as to not be able to evaluate talent, or are they so incompetent so as to not have him more involved in the game plan. I'm glad it's starting to come true still it's a long road ahead but he looks good.

Perhaps both. My patience/confidence with CMR is really starting to fade. He plateaued and now is regressing.

Brown could be one of those guys. He made a very nice grab with his hands away from his body today for a 1st down. I'm really hoping to see him improve more and more and become a target in the passing game. AJ is missed because everyone knows we're gonna throw it to him and he still makes his catches, even in traffic. We really don't have anyone else who can do that, it seems. One area of weakness for us recruiting wise has been WR. AJ was great, but we have never been able to consistently recruit great WRs. Really felt it last year with Christian Green etc all picking other schools. Edited September 19, 2010 by Dawgy
Faithful Falcon
Marlon Brown actually has not looks so bad, so he's not a disappointment to me. Israel Troupe has been my disappointment. Troupe was a big time receiver coming out of Tift County. Brown is a big name, but he has had limited playing time with AJ Green. About the same as Wooten. Really felt it last year with Christian Green etc all picking other schools.I thought we were pretty good in that department. I don't think any program "consistently recruit great WRs". Its difficult to consistently recruit great players for any position. I think we'll find Brown step up big time for his Junior and Senior season, especially with Green gone, he'll also get consistently better this season. kingjamez
AJ doesn't owe us anything. He has given himself the chance to become a high first round pick and he better **** take advantage of it. He apologized and he has to sit through four games of agony on the bench, that's about as crappy as it gets for a football player -- I'm sure some of you wouldn't know about any of that though. In all seriousness, I'm over that fool. He was going to be a millionaire in another year, and he didn't care enough about this team or the fans who were picking up the bill on his education and training to hold off on breaking NCAA violations. He threw away our seasons for 1,000. I don't care whether he stays or not, but he does OWE us another year. Not legally, but morally. kingjamez
Look at our fans turning on AJ Green after one mistake. Unbelievable. I think most people that know the guy would agree that he's one of the most unselfish, humble, better guys on this football team. But he sold a jersey therefore it's his fault for our 1-2 start and he's a selfish moron. Screw him. [/sarcasm]

FireDawg85
Well maybe Bobo wil let us see more of that cannon in the first half of a game for a change. Let him chunk it a lot to make teams respect the pass so it MAY help our running game. On the AJ comments, this will help us. Him being out four games has made 11AM have to look at the other receivers... The receivers he will have next year. But AJ will be back and we will finish the season with 2 losses. kingjamez
It's not that he thought he was invincible, I just don't think it occured to him that what he was doing was in violation with NCAA rules. I'm pretty similar in age and I'm close with college athletes and sometimes NCAA rules don't go through your head when your own your own, outside of the game.
