kerry201pro
Folks, Bringing my son over for his first game. He has only seen high school so I think he's goona freak! But I had seen where you cannot bring a camera in that the lenses is longer than 6". Well my lense on my Canon EOS digital rebel is 4" retracted and 6 3/4 extended. since I will be riding the MARTA in I am afraid to bring if it doesnt pass the 6" rule as I will have no where to put the camera if they dont allow it. I sent 3 people at the Dome emails to clarify today. I told them the lenses is removable, but it was less then 6". I guess my long drawn out question is, does the 6" apply to retracted or extended? I just wanted to see if any of the regulars have encoutered how this falls? My last couple trips over I didnt even bring a camera. SO not sure if its worth the risk, but being his 13th Bday I wanted to capture the moments.Any insight would be appreaciated. We are coming from Decatur Al and are EXTREMELY EXCITED about watching the Falcons!! Tandy
I have a Nikon D200 which I keep an 8" 18-200 lens on all the time. I take it to the game many times - never had any problem.
kerry201pro
Do you normally bring your camera bag or throw them in back pack? I see they have a restriction on that as well. Thanks for the help! Kerry Edited September 18, 2010 by kerry201pro
The Falcon Jedi
As long as it's not a fake camera like I used to try to bring. Like a water pistol camera. It has to be able to take pictures before they will let you bring it inside the stadium.
