Falconcheff
Between Dunta complaining to the refs BEFORE he even touched Ward down (THAT still really burns me... Hines Ward had to remind him he plays a grown man game! ) to Roddy always getting into it with db's who are playing him physical (it always seems like he's going, "Hey man, don't be so rough"), to Turner taking a knee when defenders get close, this team doesn't seem to have a tough, violent attitude (Dahl notwithstanding and even HE got run into the qb last week and took it).We need more violence in our offense. That is what's missing from our offense this year. That will fix our offense.More violence.

Unfortunately Ward is the most physical WR in the game, and the Steelers LBs are also the most physical in the game. Not an excuse, but also important to consider before passing judgement. If they are out-physicalled this week then your concerns will be confirmed.
ballfan
One game is not enough to judge, but Turner seemed to go down easily last week. Roddy is a tough SOB, don't let the smile fool you. Dunta is a man. I expect to see a motivated team this week.
falken
My opinion? We played a great defense.....on the road. It's tough. We didn't get blown out 41-0. We lost a heart breaker in OT. Don't be so tough on our players. Pittsburgh's defense is THAT good. Especially with the crowd in their favor.Good teams win their home games. If we lose Sunday.....then I'll panic. vel
Most times Ward was wide open was because we were in zone. Ward is a seasoned veteran and if BVG really wanted him out of the game he would have played match up D with his $57MM man. Simple as that. Mike Wallace couldn't beat us. Roddy, if you paid attention, is always smiling and talking more trash about the physicality of the other players, not complaining. He used to wrestle I think he is the LAST person who would complain. And you just made me LOL saying what you said about Turner. You line up in front of him and once he runs you over, then tell me he isn't physical. What a joke! Can We PLEASE move on to the Cardinals game?! It is Friday for Christ Sake!
