KeepItDownHomeCuz
Rumor is circulating that AU will be in all blue this weekend, apparently Ryan Pugh linked a video on his twitter (I don't follow it but have heard) and tweeted "Auburn fans should wear blue this Saturday who knows what we might wear". I'm very excited about this and have wanted it for tue past five years IMO this would look a million times better than orange jerseys. Could be wrong but I hope I'm not! IMO it would look awesome

Xnex
I've always thought the idea was to wear the same color as the opponents jersey's in order to make it harder for the opposing qb to see his receivers as clearly while running a pass play. Kind of like when Penn State does a whiteout sometimes when they are playing a big home game.

I think he idea is just to show unity and energizing the players and fans.

If Auburn is wearing blue jerseys, and clemson is wearing white, and the stadium is filled with people wearing white, then the Clemson qb would have a harder time seeing his receivers against an all white background. But the Auburn qb would easily see his receivers since they would be wearing blue and the entire background around them would be white. They would stick out like a sore thumb. Now the Aubrun qb might have a hard time seeing the Clemson db's who were covering his receivers, so I don't know that the black, white, yellow, orange, or blue outs have any effect that can be positively identified. tjb
I think it's more for the fans and the "new" uniform color gives the players something to get pumped up for. Creates a little extra excitement in the atmosphere. I'd be willing to bet the colors the fans wear would have very little affect on the QB. Or at least not enough to make a difference.I'm just disappointed they're not playing this game on Boise State's field. That'd really be a lot of blue... CrimsonKat
Chizik said tonight that Auburn will wear its traditional uniforms on Saturday. May be trying to keep the surprise under wraps though.

KeepItDownHomeCuz
A picture floating around. Was just about to post it! Welp it's official I'm excited! In other news more than likely a trainer will be fired over this. Haha a lot of the older AU fans are peeved about this claiming that "you don't screw up the best uni in college football" Saturday is going to be awesome! Xnex
No matter the color you guys are wearing, I'm firmly in your corner this weekend. I hope you guys have to work hard to do it, but I hope you beat the brakes off of Clemson.
Pickles da Don
I love when a school tries to do something special then get blows out the water. I have a feeling that the Tigers will win this game

I'm not trying to sound ignorant, but is there any chance the young man may actually be able to play again in the future? Not ignorant at all and actually from what were hearing he plans to resign with Auburn and redshift next year and play the following somebody got an update from St. Nudes and apparently Shon is working with a strength coach to try and get back. Overall just an incredible story it would be awesome to see him suit up for Auburn one day.
