Rumor is circulating that AU will be in all blue this weekend, apparently Ryan Pugh linked a video on his twitter (I don't follow it but have heard) and tweeted "Auburn fans should wear blue this Saturday who knows what we might wear". I'm very excited about this and have wanted it for tue past five years IMO this would look a million times better than orange jerseys. Could be wrong but I hope I'm not!

per dabo he said auburn is having a blue out in an interview i heard earlier todya.

I know all the students have been encouraged to wear blue much like last year during the Ole Miss game but were still waiting to find out if the team will be in all blue or not team members have alluded to it. IMO it would look awesome

yeah mike leach was interviewing dabo and he talked about the auburn team having a blue out. should be fun if that is the case.

I've always thought the idea was to wear the same color as the opponents jersey's in order to make it harder for the opposing qb to see his receivers as clearly while running a pass play. Kind of like when Penn State does a whiteout sometimes when they are playing a big home game.

That works both ways though, if the opposing QB has trouble seeing his players, your teams QB is going to have trouble seeing his players. I think he idea is just to show unity and energizing the players and fans.

No, it doesn't work both ways. If Auburn is wearing blue jerseys, and clemson is wearing white, and the stadium is filled with people wearing white, then the Clemson qb would have a harder time seeing his receivers against an all white background. But the Auburn qb would easily see his receivers since they would be wearing blue and the entire background around them would be white. They would stick out like a sore thumb. Now the Aubrun qb might have a hard time seeing the Clemson db's who were covering his receivers, so I don't know that the black, white, yellow, orange, or blue outs have any effect that can be positively identified.

Oh ok, I see what you're saying, I misunderstood you and didn't think of that way.

I think it's more for the fans and the "new" uniform color gives the players something to get pumped up for. Creates a little extra excitement in the atmosphere. I'd be willing to bet the colors the fans wear would have very little affect on the QB. Or at least not enough to make a difference.

I'm just disappointed they're not playing this game on Boise State's field. That'd really be a lot of blue...

Was just about to post it! Welp it's official I'm excited! In other news more than likely a trainer will be fired over this. Haha a lot of the older AU fans are peeved about this claiming that "you don't screw up the best uni in college football" Saturday is going to be awesome!

I'm not sure why AU fans are upset, the best uniform didn't get screwed up. UGA is still wearing Red on Saturday.:lol:

No matter the color you guys are wearing, I'm firmly in your corner this weekend. I hope you guys have to work hard to do it, but I hope you beat the brakes off of Clemson.

Haha I bet! It's funny every team thinks there jerseys are the best personally I think Auburns are up there but there are so many classics I can't rank them but in no order Auburn, FSU, Bama, Michigan, tOSU (hate the team like the unis), and ND JMO

Unrealted to the helmets but didn't figure it needed it's own thread Shon Coleman will be at the game tomorrow which is pretty awesome IMO he will probably receive a standing O

Isn't he supposed to be in full remission right now? I'm not trying to sound ignorant, but is there any chance the young man may actually be able to play again in the future?

Not ignorant at all and actually from what were hearing he plans to resign with Auburn and redshift next year and play the following somebody got an update from St. Nudes and apparently Shon is working with a strength coach to try and get back. Overall just an incredible story it would be awesome to see him suit up for Auburn one day.
