Testasparo
TORONTO -- Mickey Rourke, whose latest film "Passion Play" bowed at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday and is currently seeking a distributor, has attached to star in "Ice Man: Confessions of a Mafia Contract Killer.""Ice Man" is the true story of Richard "The Ice Man" Kuklinski, who for more than 40 years led a double life as both a professional assassin and a doting husband and father in suburban New Jersey. The project is being fully financed by Matty Beckerman's Natural Selection, with David McKenna, who wrote "Natural History" and "Blow," writing the screenplay based on the book by Philip Carlo.Beckerman will produce, and WME Global's Graham Taylor is handling international sales."Richard Kuklinski's life and Philip Carlo's true account, three years in the making, is fascinating and unlike any mafia story that's been brought to the big screen," Beckerman said. "This is a role Mickey Rourke was born to play and as a huge fan of David McKenna's work, I am thrilled to have him on board."Rourke is repped by ICM and McKenna is repped by Paradigm and Mosaic. Tootie Quivers
I don't think Rourke has much of a likeness to Kuklinski. That said, he should still be able to pull it off. I am pretty excited about this movie. The documentary was great. That mother f'er was a stone cold SOB.
pr0d1gy
Yeah man that HBO documentary was one of the most chilling interviews I have ever seen. Either that guy is one of the most hardcore killers who ever lived or the best actor who ever lived. That was one crazy doc to watch.
