Peyton
A lot from the game is debatable but, but this point is not, and I think it's huge. The Falcons got through a tough emotional road opener against a big phsical team without any serious injuries.I haven't even really heard about any minor injuries, but I could have missed something.Considering the way last year unfolded, I'd say that is pretty spectacular news. Dem Birds
Agreed. Thought about that immediately after the game was over, both sides did okay. I know they lost Starks for a few weeks, but for it to have been such a hard fought defensive game and to have so few injuries, is impressive. Wristtwitch
I was worried seeing Owens helped off the field. But he was back in play a few series later. I hate to say it but I got somewhat excited seeing Coleman on the sidelines. I wish no injuries on any player in the league however.
aerosmith67
There was a lot of talent that went down in the Packers/Eagles game and the Falcons came out unscathed outside of bruised fan egos and general bumps that come with playing football. Tons of lower leg/knee and head injuries around the league this last weekend.

It was a rough weekend, so the Falcons should feel good about the way they came out of the game for sure.

Tandy
I agree. It was an extremely physical game. That we came out unscaithed (KNOCK ON WOOD) is amazing.I believe the steelers may have lost their left tackle - Max Starks. Haven't heard how he's doing. Oh - but I did hear Smitty might have pulled a hammy!

Karst41
I thought that it was a great game of blood and guts football. We came up short, and with no major injuries, bothteams are going to be the better for it.Sure I wish that we had won, but we played well againstthat Fierce Steelers Defense.I be Proud of our Falcons, and all of myFine Feathered Fiends on these Forums who areaware of what the game represented in the NFL. NoMoreVick
There were a few cramps on our side, but they were later back in the game. Both sides played very physically, and it's pretty surprising to see the only injury was Starks, who will miss a few weeks.Whenever you finish up a game without any injuries, consider it a victory in itself. Packers lose Grant for the year. Jets lose Jenkins for the year. Stafford is out for over a month, and who knows where he'll be when he gets back on the field. Kolb has a concussion. Moore has a concussion. The list goes on. That is part of the reason our 2008 team did so well. We avoided injuries. That's a huge break for a team. A lot of success depends on a team staying healthy. You can talk about a team having depth all you want, but it's going to hurt when you lose your starting QB, RB, DL, no matter how you shake it. Let's be grateful that we didn't have any injuries, and keep hoping that happens. It will definitely help us in the long run.
