Guys... I think you are all jumping to conclusions here.

He obviously meant, "Time to Diet". He accidentally hit send before he typed that last "T".

I for one applaud him for being concerned about his ex-girlfriends weight. Obesity is no joke.

Chris Rainey has been hammered this morning on rivals radio and if this is true there is no way chris should played for florida again. They have had a number of gator fans who have called who have agreed with that opinion. I find it hard to believe if this is all true that Meyer will allow him to be a gator.

Taking bets as to whether or not he suits up for the Gators again?

I'm betting yes...

lol at the guilty by association stuff with the other fans quick to judge. I never judge other teams arrest because no team in this country is perfect, and unless it's something outrageous like armed robbery or murder (or Tennessee). With that said, this is just pathetic with Rainey. Dude has got to realize he's not 14 anymore and can't throw out threats like that. Meyer has been sticking with the other suspensions this season, hopefully he does the right thing with Rainey.

He's already been released on his own recognizance. Wow.

I know that wouldn't have happened in Athens.

no he wouldn't have been.. alec olgetree for a helmet had to sit in jail for about the same time chris rainey has after threatening to kill someone. amazing the differences in police enforcement. now if it was knoxville he wouldn't have been charged and they would have asked the victim to apologize to the player for taking the time to die too seriously.

never seen richt sit a player for more than 1 game. player did a hit and run, had a warrant for his arrest over something stupid and he was just suspended 1 game.

something smells fishy here and i need more facts about this. innocent till proven guilty some of you need to learn that

It is called a "misdemeanor" Threepac...that is why they were only suspended for one ball-game. Rainey is facing a third-degree FELONY charge for his text message...BIG difference...plus, Rainey should have to sit a few games for being stupid enough to send those words in a text message...he basically provided lawyers with all of the evidence they need to go after him.

then you haven't been paying attention very well. see fred munz among others (djax, etc) who have gotten more than 1 game suspensions. all fred did was under age drinking which at uf doesn't get you a 1 game suspension.. ask matt elam. please don't try and compare bumping a parked car and having a $35 dollar helmet (which wasn't his) to threatening someone's life.
