Let's all just move the goalposts to fit our current argument. Had Marty drove to a game winner it would have been evidence that he was maturing into greatness, but when he threw the pick it's because he's only in his third year. What happened to the Peyton/Brady comparisons? Those have slowed down quite a bit.

Oh my God!! Matt Ryan is not mediocre...ok. ****. In fact he's as good as the greatest QBs ever in their first two/three years except for when he doesn't put up the great numbers statistically but even then he has great excuses why. And last year for a matter of fact. They were rated the number 5 defense without Troy P and Aaron Smith(2 big parts of that defense). With both of them back in the line up that is a great defense.

Yeah but, Rivers has hovered in the mid 90s, i think in terms of qb rating the last couple of years. In '08, he led the league with the highest qb rating. He has earned the right to have a horrible game where his abilities aren't questioned afterward.

Ryan hasn't earned that yet. Last season I felt was his first real amount of learning experience. He couldn't rely on Turner to carry him the entire season. He had to fend for himself, it'll either make him stronger this season or worse. I guess we'll find out soon.

Agree. You have to take care business. But the game doesn't always fall into place like you want it. The taints lost a horrible game with the bucs last year. But hay it happens. But no excuses right.
