Dharma Initiative
A lot of fans say 'if we got ______ this offense would open up" but realistically we have a better set of receivers than most teams. It's top heavy of course with Roddy and Gonzo but you have speed in Douglas and Weems, and size in Jenkins and Finneran. After thinking it through I think all of these teams are worse off than us in the catching department:RedskinsEaglesSeahawksRamsBearsLions (nothing after CJ)PanthersBuccsBillsDolphinsJetsBroncosChiefsRaidersChargers (excluding Jackson)BrownsSteelersJaguarsTitansThere are very few teams that have Moss/Welker and Boldin/Mason combos. We are adequate, we just aren't taking advantage of each player's strengths.

Photofalcon
Yeah because Steve Smith, Brandon Marshall, Hines Ward, Mike Wallace, and Devin Hester just suck. You left out the only team that actually is worse off than us and that's Minnesota.

And Hester in his four seasons has never had more than 3 TD's and went over 700 yards only once. You think that's pretty good?
Dharma Initiative
Why is that you think, Could it be our offensive play calling?I dunno, but it's been said since we got him, Jenkins strength is his speed to get down the field. Redman was a little more patient and took more time and Jenkins got open and we stretched the field with him. Redman went to him almost as much as Roddy. Marshall also has Fasano, since we're counting TE's, Chicago with knox and that other guy who's name I won;t even try to spell, along with their tight end at worst these teams are in the same boat as us,but not worse off. Photofalcon
Even if you were 100% right, that's 13 teams with a better receiver group than us.Not how you win Superbowls.

The guy with 1100 yards and 10 TD's in 4 years? Gonzalez gets that almost every season. And we already proved Hester sucks. Knox had 500 yards in 15 games with 5 TD's. Aromoshadu has less than 400 yards and 4 TD's in his 2 seasons. You would really take that set of guys over ours? You are insane. I think Roddy is a far better receiver than Jackson, and I think Gonzalez is better than Celek, but you've got to factor in Maclin and Avant. Right now, they are both better than Jenkins and Douglas. Douglas could be better, but right now, he isn't.I really liked what Weems did yesterday.

paulitik
Which is exactly why we get another deep threat and beat all of those teams on our schedule.

Photofalcon
didn't they play against Chrisp Houston?Fasano didn't and didn't we play against some less than stellar corners. I seem to remember last week some of you pointing out corner as a weakness in the steeler defense.

Or a couple of other teams. There is a common team among the teams you listed. It is primarily the bottom half of the league. Coincidence?
