Team sponsors will more than likely end up buying the unsold tickets.

guys i have no problem admitting that the falcons have a shoitty fanbase, but im sure if we ever have a run like the saints did we will be very supportive, in the same fashion you guys were a shoity fan base and became very supportive, quit acting like your the bucs that sold out for 13 seasons strait.

Team sponsors buy up tickets to sell out games every week in the NFL, in noway was that a shot at the Falcons.

The Bucs started selling out when Dungy made them into a consistent playoff contender. Look at their attendance records before then.

They are no different than most other fanbases,in that regard.

Put a winner on the field, people will come to the games. Plain and simple.

So if the games are selling out, where are the people?

if there were no people then there would be no sellouts. a lot of the time our fans show up around the 2nd qtr and leave early to get a jump on traffic (i know because ive been to quite a few falcons games the last couple of years).

the dome is usually far from empty.

Reading alot of threads throughout the summer I almost thought back to back winning seasons was better then a super bowl championship

 any saints fan that think that fans in atlanta are on a high about our team, is trippin. atlanta has 5million ppl in it and i'd say about 250,000 of those ppl even know the falcons exist. out of that 250,000 i'd say about 125,000 are die hard falcons fans. the other 4.8 million ppl in the atlanta area is more excited about vick starting for the eagles.

i'll put it in perspective for ya im 29 years old, lived in the atlanta area my whole life. went to oneja of the largest highschools in the state, and i have never met a die hard falcon fan other then my self. and im not a socialy akward guy, ive met alot of ppl in my life, not only have i never met another die hard falcon fan i was regularly picked on for supporting the falcons, i have more ppl talk smack to me in my home town about my home town team, then there are registerd members of this board that post in rival central.

i'll take that back, ive met some hard core falcons fans, at games, and at training camp, but thats it.

Our piece ohshyt fans gave Vick more applause in an Eagles uniforms than they gave the team they supposedly root for.

I may defend our team, but you will not see defending our fan base.

Where are they someone asked? 15 minutes late for both kickoffs, leaving during the third quarter no matter what the score, sitting on their hands on 3rd and 1 unless we have the **** ball.... grrrrr.

its embarrasing, and i get tired of ppl saying that if the falcons win a superbowl and were more sucessful we would have a stronger fan base

the atlanta braves won 15 strait division championships and a world series, and we couldnt even sell out playoff games...the year we won the world series we didnt even sell out game one of the world series. Atlanta just isnt a sports town.

not sure if anybody has posted this cuz i didn't read the entire thread, but in response to the guy that said the Saints are selling out b/c they're winning, thats just false...

yes its true we have a season ticket waiting list almost 10 years long... yes its true that stubhub tickets average close to the highest in the league...

but its also true that we've been selling out like that every year since Katrina, and we had 3 wins that year...

Dude, I'm a Saints fan too, but that isn't true. The Saints played every game out of town the year immediately after Katrina while still under Haslett. In 2006, upon returning to New Orleans, they've sold out every game.

But that would still mean that the 3-13 Saints sold out the following year. This would be before you were winning games correct?
