Flayko247
I look at this as a no win situation for the Falcons if you listen to 90% of the statements on this board.Ryan could throw for 300 yards, 3 TD's, Turner have 150 yards rushing, get our 1st win of the season and guess what all these "Debbie Downers" would be saying??"Well, it was the Cardinals!! No Warner and they almost lost to the lowly Rams!!"Sounds about right doesn't it???Then on the flipside, if we lose......OMG......shut the MB down!!"Ryan is not the answer....Turner looks slow.....same old Falcons!"Please support this team, win or lose, if you claim to be a true fan.(I'm guessing we're a dying breed!) vabchbirdlover
SO, people voicing, what they consider, their legimate concerns about the lackluster performance on behalf of the Falcon's offense, makes them not a true fan? Please clarify

Flayko247
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with someone voicing their opinions......I welcome that!!The point I'm trying to make is that you have ALOT of people on this board who watched the game yesterday and are blaming Ryan and Turner for, as you stated, a lackluster performance. Was it all Ryan's fault? Yes some of the blame falls on him.Was it Turner's fault? Sure some can fall on him as well.I feel the O-line should shoulder most of the blame however. If you can't pass block, how's Ryan suppose to throw the deep ball with 1.7 seconds??If they can't run block, how's Turner suppose to break loose?? Believe me, there were NO holes in the running game.I'm just tired of everyone blaming yesterday's performance on Ryan and Turner.Yeah, you win and lose as one team, but there's some who want Ryan benched or gone for that matter.Support the team whether it's lackluster or blockbuster..........just sayin'. The Falcon Jedi
My concerns arent just from the Steeler game. I have been very concerned all since Pre-Season."OH Its just Pre-Season! It doesnt matter if we only score 1 TD! Its only Pre-Season!" Yada yada yada....Pre-Season Does Matter. And what happened during Pre-Season is Happening Now during Regular Season. We cant Score. The Offense is not functioning.

vabchbirdlover
My only problem with your orig post, is when you you call people on their fandom. Believe me, you aren't the first and you definately won't be the last to do so. As the previous poster said, ppl like to vent their frustrations here, tho some take it to extremes, this is why I usually avaoid this forum like the plague after a loss. Believe me, there was plenty of blame to go around, I.E., Mainly the lack of imagination on offense, and I have to throw it out there - Is this the product of one person(OC)? or is he just handicapped with what I believe is the Facons "Achille's Heel", the OFFENSIVE LINE? Believe Tandy posted something statwise as to the limited amount of time Matt had to go thru his reads. I personally don't have the answer. Guest Gritz
Maybe it's just me but I think the vast majority of the talk, discussions and concerns have been well thought out, reasonable and well presented.
JKH5785
Please support this team, win or lose, if you claim to be a true fan.(I'm guessing we're a dying breed!) No, your just an insignificant simple minded young fan who probably hasn't even followed the Falcons any longer than 5 years.Put 25 years in and then call me about some "if you claim to be a true fan"
sandtrap
Just because I criticize the team doesn't mean I'm not a fan. I'm not the one that is saying the sky is falling but still I have legitimate concerns about our offense and their ability to close out drives. I spend hundreds of dollars, hours of time and loads of energy on my Falcons, I am a shareholder of this team by way of fandom and I have every right to be as critical as I want. I'm simply stating that I'm as concerned as anyone about the lack of production from the offense. My only gripe is that most everyone is blaming Ryan and Turner, not the O-line or the OC.Please try to comprehend the original post!! harveybirdman
It's all about perception, you can let your guard down and express concerns you may have about a certain player rationally and still wear a badge of support for the team you love. But almost no one interprets criticisms the same, and add to that the ludicrous amount of emotion posters on the extremes of the Hugger/Hater spectrum bring to the party. All they have to do to make a 6 page mess is light a match (i.e. make an inflammatory comment). Therefore I find it wise to reserve judgment until we've seen a few games play out. This franchise has done nothing to earn the support it does get. We are here, we spend tons of money, we put lots of time and emotion into this team, we buy into the Rise Up promotion and they lay a goose egg right off the hat. Did the FO give the offense the Rise Up memo? Edited September 14, 2010 by sdogg
