Everybody needs to calm down

at this point the hate on Ryan is justifiable.. Think about it, hes supposively this amazing "mind", a QB who doesnt need athletic talent, because hes studies football 24/7 and has the "it" factor..

Yet hes making HORRIBLE decisions all the time, trying to force every single ball to TG, and throwing INTs in critical moments of the game.

Either Mularkey and TG need to go, or Ryan needs to get his *** in gear and study film that MATTERS; his own mistakes rather than watching Brees all day.

we played a hard defense yesterday. our defense looked great. everyone needs to quit hating on matt ryan.

Yah u right. but i will say this. Matty and Mularkey did not do themselves much justice IMHO. I just want to know who it is that is responisible for this easy reading offense. Complex offense used to create havoc on the opponent is what I want to see. But I will settle for downfield shots and slants accross the middle along with a few double moves and utilizing HD and Norwood a LOT more. Ok, I feel better now...cool.gif

Yes, the offense looked rusty to say the least, but it is still the first game of the season. Plus, you're playing against one of the top defenses in the NFL. I would wait and see how they do over the next two weeks before I push the panic button.

Keep in mind that this sort of thing will happen when you limit the playing time for your starter during preseason. On the other hand, if you play them too much, then you run the risk of them getting injured. So, who knows..?

btw: The biggest problem on offense yesterday wasn't the QB. It was the lack of a running game. JMHO

I agree man!! Does anyone not realize how good Pitt's Defense is with Polomalu???? I mean seriously.. both teams goal yesterday was to run the ball and stop the run. Neither team could accomplish that which is why so many fg occured (minus Mendenhall's long one in OT which was BOUND to happen to either us or them if we waited long enough). sooo.... QUIT F'N BASHIN THE TEAM AND LETS LOOK FORWARD TO NEXT WEEK!!!!!!

The most concerning things is our 1st string offense has not scored a TD in 4 pre-season games (I think) and now 1 regular season game. Something has got to be done to get our offense to start scoring TDs adn stop with the FG ********.

Then who threw that TD to roddy white aganist miami in the 3rd preseason game?

That is why I said (I think). I couldn't remember if it was 0 or 1 TD in pre-season. Thanks for the correction.

So, in 20 or so snaps in the first 2 preseason games, in 25 or so snaps in the 3rd preseason game, and all the snaps yesterday, our first string offense has only scored 1 TD. Like it or not, that is very concerning.
