Billy Ocean
If the hearing is Wednesday, they'll announce the decision on Thursday. Edited September 13, 2010 by Billy Ocean
CalDawg
This is a formality, IMO. I see very little chance they'll change the ruling.

Free AJ!yep don't hold your breathe, but it's the ncaa so anything can happen. i wouldn't be surprised at all to see it end up being just 2 games. AJ's punishment was in line with the NCAA guidelines for his infraction. Dareus got a reduction, and the only reason I can see for that is that he had information that the NCAA wanted. They gave him 4 games, then concurrently reduced it by two because he cooperated with a bigger investigation. AJ has nothing to offer; there's no reason to reduce his sentence. That's speculation, but it's the only reasonable explanation I can come up with.
Fire Dawg
It was more evident than ever last week on how bad we need him. Just such BS!!!! I am starting to become concerned about our WR strength for next year. We have some good players but no one that really stands out.
AutoMax
I've lost all faith in the NCAA at this point. I don't expect anything to change. We'll see AJ for Colorado and I hope he's pissed off and fired up.

We have some good players but no one that really stands out.Hmmm, do you think it's possible that Aaron Murray AND all the WR's playing this year, that will return next year, can improve and get better? RELAX. The great thing about college football is that freshmen become sophs, sophs becomes juniors, etc etc. The guys we have will naturally get better. Wooten, Brown, he11 even King still have a lot of upside. Be easy
pr0d1gy
Too late now, we already lost due to lack of playmakers on the outside. And it was a divisional loss. Even if we won out from here I have a feeling UF will not lose in our division just because they're Florida and ESPN has an oversized man-crush on that program, and ESPN makes all the decisions behind the scenes. I'd like to know which is correct. If AJ got extra time because of the "agent" thing, which he apparently didn't know about, then the NCAA is begging for a lawsuit. They may believe their judgements don't have to conform to the normal legal code, but that's a big assumption even for the mighty NCAA. That's why whether hawkins was or wasn't considered an agent by the ncaa was a big deal and it was something they disagreed on (ncaa and uga) and it's a big reason uga did the appeal. They are basically not believing AJ that he did not know who hawkins was.

We all can't stand the NCAA, but people should really be upset about Mr. Hawkins trying to befriend Green in hopes of pushing him toward an agent down the line. I haven't seen that much apathy for a guy who clearly knows what he did was wrong (and for the record doesn't care) and fooled a good kid into doing something borderline brain dead stupid. Even if AJ Green missed this season with an injury, he was guaranteed to make millions upon millions when the draft rolled around. Green may not have known, but they are trying to make an example out of him. The message is clear, "beware of the wolf in sheep's clothing." The hawkins guy is dirty, dirty. I think North Carolina is going to get hammered because of his "helping" players find representation while they are in school and working with quite a few agents.I think they reduce it to 3 games. Xnex
The fact that he gave the money to charity should reduce it to 2 games. It should have just been a 2 1/2 game suspension. He gave the money to charity after being punished. He didn't sell the jersey and then donate the proceeds to charity. Had that been the case, the NCAA should have suspended him for 1 game, then turned around and created the annual AJ Green Humanitarian award.
