MARCUS_MARGARITA
Yea we didnt get the win today, and I know everyone is a little bummed about that. But what I dont get is everyone starting to bash players/personell after one game. I liked what I saw today. The receivers looked good as Roddy had a huge day and Weems and Douglas were able to contribute as viable targets for Ryan. The defense look impressive, only gave up 3 field goals and 1 touchdown. We applied alot of pressure on Dixon and the defense was able to get off the field on third down (a problem we had last year). Special teams also deserve's alot of credit because they kept giving the Steelers bad field positioning on punts. Sure Turner didnt have a dynamic game with 100+ rushing yards a couple td's. But do you know why, the Steelers have one heck of a defense. When healthy that defense can make even the best running back have a sub par day. D-Rob made a few mistakes, but its only the first game. He's gonna show he was worth the huge contract and he's gonna show why he's still a top corner. As far as anything else goes, were only gonna get better guys, we played a solid defense in one of the most vicious stadiums in the league. We held our own and didnt let the crowd get to us. Overall I say today I was proud to watch my Falcons hold their own in a close game, I think we all should be proud.

Dale4Saul2Red0
When you allow a bunch of underage kids to run around on a message board this is what you get. Put down the PS3 controller kiddies and stop thinking you know something about a game you never played.

Osiruz
Mike mularky needs to be let go already its long over due.Well for one we lost to a team we should've obliterated, I disagree with this crappy optimism and stuff. WE need to face the music and realize the truth already, no more excuses for this loss stuff. We have douglas back, norwood, back, the line is blocking fine, but we only put up nine points against a team with an offense struggling mightily. Pittsburgh was starting its third string who happens to have training wheels on him, so if we can't beat this team its already time to call it quits on our supposed "championship season", sorry folks but i'm a realist. We knew this defense was going to key on turner, but what happened was matt ryan was very aweful and looked very amateur. His throws were off the mark, and he never went deep even when he took his time to find his guy. This tells us one of two telling things which us fans have been shouting about for quite sometime, either our wide R's are total crap and can't seem to get open to save their lives, or mike mularky is the worst possible OC in the league (this I now for fact). we need to let ryan loose and find out if he can be a real qb in this league, this wont happen until we fire our horrible excuse for an OC.sorry no more excuses, this team has tremendous talent. Osiruz
Saints should have called it quits after losing to TB last year right? HAHAHA STFU!They were banged up at the end of a season missing key players where they were 13-0. We lost to a team that couldn't move the ball, against a defense that should've been worn down by the 3rd quarter.sit down. PuntPuntPass
Im tired of tha pessimism. I agree we did ok today not great but ok. I wish we could have gotten a TD. The only complaint I have is with MM playcalling. Hopefully we will see some better stuff next week. This right here is everyone's frustration. When fans (not trolls) pointed this out during the preseason, they responded with something along the lines of "no coordinator shows all their stuff in preseason" because they believe being critical of a team you love makes you pessimistic. In actuality we've been saying that bolded part of your quote since the beginning of last year. Yet it is re-surfacing again this year. All fans want to see thier team well especially when they know they have something special. Some fans are pessimistic and always ready to jump ship. Some have rose colored glasses strutting around this board as if we are actually an elite team due to the preseason espn analysts hype or overrating our own talent because we've been used to mediocrity for way too long. A lot of us believe it or not fall in the middle. We love our team and we just want to see them improve. One problem.........................this team is at the stage where the diapers are off and aren't considered a rebuilding team anymore. We are suppose to begin knocking on the door of the upper echelon of teams discussion. We might not be invited to front row seats but we should be in the same room somewhere at the back with them by the end of the season. We aren't gonna get there with the talent on the O-line and complacency with MM playcalling. For this kind of offense, you need a top 5 D to make the playoffs. We are probably a year or two away from that but this D will be good enough to give our O plenty of opportunities THEY HAVE TO CAPITALIZE ON!This is where Mike Smith has to earn his money as head coach. Will he make changes if we are still doing this vanilla crap with same results by week four?.............Let's stay tuned.. I hope he has the "planters" to ruffle some feathers if he needs to
LA FALCON FAN
but seriously what more can we do we got a team with talent in every position real good talent and we still keep losing something is wrong and we keep coming up with excuses before you know it we are out of the playoffs again this falcons team gots to figure this crap out soon we lost to a 3rd string qb if ben was playing who knows how humiliating this game would of been

I called you out and you got burned take it like a man. Should've been worn down how? From what running game? I don't remember having one on Sunday. Running the football wears defense down and if you can't do that effectively you won't wear down anyone.Have you ever played a competitive down of football in your life? And no sitting the pine in pee wees because you weren't good enough doesn't count. Keep playing arm chair QB and leave the real football talk to people who actually played meaningful football on an actual level handle the rest ok? Tired of you simpletons who think you know something about the game running your mouths. You couldn't even read a defensive scheme or know what a cover 2 defense was if your life depended on it yet you think your opinion matters and is worth a ****. It's pathetic.
