phocis850
1. Defense looked good against a power back. The 50 in OT was bound to happen. We did well against the run, but I'm not sold on the pass D just yet. Dunta looked like he wasn't in position most of the time.2. Our offense is STILL not in sync. This is blatantly to any person watching the game. It's easy to see that Ryan and Roddy are the only two on the same page. Ryan did O.K. but not nearly what we need him to play at. I honestly believe that Mularkey is holding this team back. Turner was stuffed every time he went to the middle. The outside was open nearly every run play but MM is determined to run up the middle.3. Ryan was to focused on getting Gonzo his 1000th pass.4. Bryant is scaring me, but he is looking better than Elam did :/5. We have too many miscues on offense.6. The pass was working. The problem we were having is that 1st down was wasted with a run for 1 yard up the middle. 2nd down as a sure pass play. Too predictable.7. Our D couldn't get enough penetration. I honestly think it was a weight issue. Really on both sides of the ball.8. Sam Baker better get his act together. It's sad to think that JA98 is actually out performing him.9. JA98 had a very good game.10. We are stuck with Mularkey's play calling for the year. We can't change the caller, but Smith needs to lay the wood and let him know that a 4 pro bowler offensive team should NOT only have 1 TD in 5 games. I believe it is clear that this Offense does NOT have his respect.
Peyton
Bryant was fine today. Pittsburgh, because of the texture of the field and the wind, is famously the worst field for kicking in the league. On the first one, he hit it really well, and I think the wind just pushed it right. He hit all the other kicks great and right down the middle. He may or may not excel for the rest of the season, but I thought he did great today. RockPaperScissors
Good observations. I agree for the most part. Personally I don't like all the plays running Turner out of a singleback set. Especially once PIT's starting nose tackle was out- use your highly paid FB as a lead blocker and run Turner up the middle. They need to quit all this outside, off-tackle crap with 2 TE's. That doesn't play to Turner's strength IMO.

Hashbrown3
Nothing u said was out of touch. Even if we had won it, I would still make many of the same points...

Maybe Ted knows the plays just as well, but I doubt Blank wants to hype up a season and then fire the OC the next week.We are not on the same page offensively. I don't blame the players. Notice how the pro bowlers all have the same answers. 0-2 maybe 0-3 they start speaking their minds.

Kick starts out looking good, then faded right at the end. Neither missed it by much.Woulda, coulda, shoulda.

His makes were from the left hash marks if I amnot mistaken and Reed also missed one to the right thathad the same knuckling movement on it. Bryant has plentyof leg and did a good job for us. Bring It
Our offense has been and is today, waaaaaay too predictable. ZERO imagination. ZERO.New Orleans offense calls make ours look like a "church league". No comparison.Perhaps Mularkey is the problem. His calls are from the 1960's. Hines jumped up and got another yard or so.... Grrr
