Theyhateme : )
Who failed the Falcons at Pittsburgh on Offense....? 1. MM's terrible offensive play calling?2. Matt Ryan's 27/44, 252 yards, "0" TDs and 1 INT?3. Michael Turner's poor production?Honestly, I think Ryan, the leader and face of the offense, failed to get the job done. It took him way too long to get it going. With 44 attempts, an all-pro TE, a decent WR that managed 111 yards. So how is it that our QB couldn't manage a single TD toss to get the Falcons over the hump is beyond me. A ton of things went wrong in this game, but I prefer to keep the focus on the "Field" General. Ryan...come on! Step it up and win one on the road!!
FalconinPA
Can I choose a little of all 3? I don't think Ryan should take all the blame. There is definitely something missing on our offense and it has been for some while. We have too many weapons to be so bad right now on Offense. Right now, we are rather average.... And I actually thought that we had something a little special this year. However, we will win at home!! Jesus
When we were in the redzone in the 4th quarter and before Smith chickened out and kicked the FG, why didn't Ryan throw one in the end zone?

Please excuse me, but I haven't seen a QB put the ball in the "Air" 44 times and come away "0" TDs....We stunk it up with Ryan.

The Falcon Jedi
Ryan, Turner, and the O-Line are all to blame. In that order.
atljbo
You cant just blame Matt Ryan... Without the threat of a running game... Every team can get setup to defend the pass.I think it was all
Theyhateme : )
Ryan, Turner, and the O-Line are all to blame. In that order.I actually think that the line did enough...Ryan completed 27 passes for 252 yards...MM's game plan was to run the ball, but sometimes you have to make adjustments. What he should've done was run a few screen plays to Norwood or Turner to slow down that rush. Honestly....why would you continue to try and run the ball against an 8 man front?
Norwood all the way!
What he should've done was run a few screen plays to Norwood or Turner to slow down that rush. theres one problems with that......Mularkey apparently has never heard of screen plays or anything of the sort. Theyhateme : )
first ones to blame is the oline! they did not open any holes, they keep struggling against good 3-4 defenses just like they did against the cowboys last year, that led to michael not being patient and we could not run the ball, the ENTIRE game was on matt ryan's shoulders and he made some pretty nice throws, and that interception by troy was just unbelievable, you can not say he did a bad jobwhen you throw it 44 times, you have no running game and they are rushing 8 every pass play you will have 3 seconds to throw it is gonna be a tough game, and let's not forget that sam baker cost us our overtime drive with a holding penalty! so this game is on the oline, they need to step up, and our defense gave up a 50 yard td run.... the entire team played poorly, our best players were white, abraham and ryan in that orderThe INT, I truly understand....Ryan got baited by a Veteran...that was a very good play. Even with the O-line not making holes...Ryan still threw for 252...he completed 27 passes. Typically, with 27 for 252, you can expect at least 1 perhaps 2 TDs right? Edited September 13, 2010 by theyhateme

Dale4Saul2Red0
If Matt Ryan is the first guy you are blaming for this loss then you don't know a **** thing about football and quite frankly didn't watch the game today. It was our inability to establish any kind of consistent rushing attack. When you are putting your QB in 2nd and 9, 3rd and 7 on a consistent basis his percentage for success is greatly diminished especially against a good defensive unit. Some of you need to open your eyes and find a little common sense. Or don't post here anymore until you do because you make our fanbase look stupid.

Herr Beast
Matt Ryan wasn´t the problem. He and Roddy patchwerked something that MM just couldn´t do: produce at least anything. I sometimes wonder why we actually have an OC because whatever production we got out of our offense yesterday was mostly on Ryan alone. The interception was the result of the predictability of our play calling. Neither Matt Ryan nor Roddy White did anything wrong on that play, it actually was a great throw that would have hit Roddy on the numbers. But serving a future HOF player the same play for the 10th time is not really smart and will result in desaster sooner or later. falcon057
WE can on count on teams taking our run game away and making Matt beat them! I know thats what I would do! WE haven't put the ball in the end zone this YEAR.

He continues to stare down Roddy and he managed to thrown his way to the Redzone only once??? "C'mon Man!! It was our inability to establish any kind of consistent rushing attack.
