What did I say all preseason, yeh it's just preseason, but your offense looked anemic, that carried over into the season.

what a bold prediction...that the falcons were gonna struggle against pittsburghs' D on the road? way to go out on a limb there NFL network needs more ppl like you. but hey its better than struggling against minesottas banged up secondary

Turner looked like he was done today. I know the Steelers D is AWESOME, so it's not like it should've been a walk in the park for the Falcons O, but I saw absolutely nothing to fear from the Burner.

Just being honest.

seen it comming all week. turner only has one 100 yard game in his career against 3-4 defenses and that came on 31 carries for well less then 4 ypc.

you wanna stop turner? run the 3-4

Hey man seen them all preseason vs mediocre defenses and didn't see anything scary. Ryan telegraphs his passes.

Falcons offense.

I keep seeing some Falcon fans trying to make themselves feel better by saying Ryan had a good or great game (this seems to happen alot), but lets get real here. He was very very mediocre. He had a number of off target throws, locked onto his recievers, didn't distribute the ball what so ever. He seems to float alot of his throws and doesn't have very much velocity on them at all. Especially on those sideline throws.

He targets to his recievers was something like 23, 4, 5, 3, 1, 1, 1 or something like that. You can guess who the 23 is for. I'm not taking anything away from Roddy, he's a great reciever. But the Falcons are really going to struggle if Ryan can't distribute the football better than he did.

I just don't see improvement from Ryan from year to year. I'm not there yet, but I'm starting to believe that Matt Ryans cieling isn't much higher than it was in 08.

who exactly is matt suppose to distribute the ball too? we have the worst recieving corp in the south. eric freakin weems is our number 2 guy, i think your assessment of ryan is a little harsh, you have been watching brees for the last 4 years and your spoiled

So you put the lack of development from Ryan on the front office for not bringing in more weapons? If so, I agree with that.

As for being spoiled, maybe a little. But I watch a lot of football and Ryan just isn't a very good QB right now. He's middle of the pack, at best.

im 50/50 on the front office right now, on one hand we were huge players in trying to get bolden but baltimore out bided us for him, they had more to offer, how ever why we didnt make a push for houshmanzadah or vincent jackson, i have no clue

I heard the big thing all offseason was going to be throwing the ball to Burner. Who knows, maybe that would've worked better.

I did like the gripping drama of watching the Falcons force as many passes Gonzo's way as it took to roll the odometer over and alternatly running Tuner into the meatgrinder ad naseum.

I predicted it would be an ugly game, but I (and Vegas) figured the Falcons had the edge. I see now I was mistaken B)

how quickly does vegas and possibly you, that the steeler defense is one year removed from carrying the 23rd ranked offense in the NFL to a superbowl victory. and we played on the road.

the steelers played with a chip on their shoulder they dont like being underdogs in there own back yard...i talked to steeler fans all week and the whole fanbase and franchise felt disrespected to be underdogs at home to a team that hasnt proven anything.

he's better then you say he is...anyone that can put up 252 yards and complete over 60% of his passes on a **** lebeau defense is pretty good. we just didnt turn those yards into points, but its a work in process

He needed 44 throws to get to that 252, only 5.7 per attempt. Not very impressive.

The game yesterday solidifies what I've been saying for so long.

People in TATF want only to make ridiculous comparisions that the Falcons are more talanted at WR because of Roddy White than are the Saints. Same arguement is made at RB with Turner vs. Thomas/Bush. Same with Tony G vs Shockey/Thomas.

My arguement is no one Saint player is allowed to achieve the superstar stats that Roddy is allowed. If you stop Roddy, you stop the outside passing game against Atlanta. If you stop Turner, so goes the Falcons. Matt Ryan has some talant, but he is not eleite. The Falcons can certainly win with him, and could even challenge for the NFC South, but it's a more difficult task than the way the Saints are structured for success.

Having 4 competent WR's, 2 RB's, 2 TE's and a stud at QB pulling the trigger is a proven model for success.

where was Norwood, Douglas and Snelling?

Weve heard Snelling > Thomas and Bush but where was he?

Douglas was supposed to be the next Welker! Where was he?

Norwood > Bush? Hmmm, Where was he at?

That's part of the problem. None of those players are utilized. I don't know who's fault that is (probably bullMularky), but that's why our O looks like crap. And yes, as sad as it is, Ryan doesn't seem to be progressing at all. The posters in TATF seem to be delusional about the expectations for this team.
