miKevicK777
"Dennis Dixon (Steelers, plus-nine percent)Dixon only got the starting nod several days ago, but he could be a viable waiver wire pick in leagues that require two quarterbacks. Last year, his lone start came against the Ravens, but he gets to play a Falcons pass defense that was 27th in the league last season. They've added Dunta Robinson, but the Steelers do an excellent job of shielding Hines Ward away from the opposing team's top corner with their formations, which should create opportunities for Ward to go up against the rest of an otherwise weak secondary. "someones not doing their homework... (i dont think grimes or owens or brian should be a number 1 cornerback but theyre good for the number 2 and deeper. and decoud is up and coming and erik is okay. None i would characterize as "weak")Written by a fool named Bill Barnwell. he writes for espn's section of Football "Outsiders". No wonder. Of course, I don't like having a weak secondary, but the guy is just laying out the facts.

Quinton Ayers
so the fact is we have a weak FS, SS, #2 CB, and nickelback?Well, obviously.. Did you not see how our defense played last year? The only thing that has changed is we added Dunta Robinson for a lot of money.

The only thing that has changed is we added Dunta Robinson for a lot of money.the changes we made to our defense was addition of spoon and dunta, moving grimes or owens out of the crucial number 1 CB spot over to the 2. getting rid of chris houston was another big change. do you know the calibur of QBs we played last year? brady, romo, eli, brees twice, cutler, donovan. Our defense held the youngsters freeman to 10 and 17 points, brohm to 3 points, sanchez to 7,. You telling me compared to a 3rd string quarterback with one game experience, our secondary outside of dunta can be considered weak?i do not think so. whether he plays well, we wont know, but from facts, grimes, owens, erik, and decoud are not considered a weak group. We added a CB, who was the best out of an average class of CB's in the free agency for a lot of money (I am pulling for him though). I don't think Grimes is physical enough to play anything, but NB at best, and there just hasn't been a lot of evidence to support Owens of being better than a CB playing on a 27th ranked pass defence. And I'm not saying our secondary is weak for a 3rd string QB with one game experience, I'm saying our secondary is weak compared to the NFL. I wish it wasn't like that, and it will most likely improve this season, I just don't see it breaking the top 16.
