Falconsken
Id like to see penn state pull the upset but it's highly unlikely.

ChuyDawg
the young qb hurt penn state in their first long drive, I would not like to be that kid today.
Carter
Penn State looked completely outmatched.Pretty sure someone will beat Bama this year though. Really don't see any undefeated team coming out of the SEC this year.

Really don't see any undefeated team coming out of the SEC this year.Agreed, it won't happen. East, no doubt every team will have a loss(es). West, only question is Bama.... which still has @ Arkansas, Florida (a win, but still), @ USCe, Miss St. and Auburn to end the season. The most delirious Alabama fan might even admit there are no undefeated teams this season.
Falconsfan567
Penn State's defense did a nice job for the most part. But State's young QB was totally overmatched. We all knew it would take a miracle for them to win that game.I'm not really all that impressed with Bama yet. The offense really didn't do much outside of Trent Richardson. I mean Greg McElroy is a nice QB and all but he still seems like a game manager to me. I lot of his passing yards is YAC yards.

I know beating the #18 team in the Nation into submission without your best offensive player (Ingram) or your best defensive player (Dareus) is not much to get fired up about. It certainly does not compare to standing toe to toe in a squeaker against a powerhouse like Mississippi State.
Dog River
I don't see anyone coming close to beating bama in the SEC. They are deep and balanced.Gamecocks? Doubt it. Saban will not allow Lattimore to beat him..Garcia can't.Gators? Not even close.Auburn? See gators.Disclaimer: I am an UGA fan.
CrimsonKat
By the way, I was at the game and what a pleasure it was to see Joe Paterno coach a team in person. It was also a moment I will remember forever seeing Paterno, Bobby Bowden, and Saban meet at midfield and exchange praise. I always love seeing Alabama play against the traditional powers. Penn State has a great program and as classy of a group of fans as I have ever been around.

As was Virginia Tech being a preseason #10. Just more reasons why preseason rankings suck.He looked totally lost out there. I never said Bama wasn't good. And I never said Auburn's win was good. I never said Auburn was better than Alabama. I never said Alabama would lose a game. Stop putting words in my mouth. I thought I was very fair of Alabama's performance yesterday. The game was 24-3. Not 38-0 or something like that.I just don't think McElroy can sit back and pass on nearly every play and be good enough to beat you. He's a nice QB and I wouldn't mind having him but he reminds me a lot of Brandon Cox except with a stronger arm. Cox wasn't great but he did just enough to win games and McElroy does just enough to win games.
Falconsfan567
I heard Paterno got a nice ovation from the bama fans.Listening to the very end of the game on the radio as Joe Pa was walking off the field he got a great ovation. CrimsonKat
I heard Paterno got a nice ovation from the bama fans.He did. There were several times where Paterno was shown on the video boards and the crowd really gave a nice ovation. If you read Saban's lips in his midfield comments to Paterno after the game, he says: "You're the best." This game reminded me a lot of when Oklahoma came to Tuscaloosa in 2004 or so. Classy program with great fans.

Very respectful of the game and other fans at the game. Also, very smart fans it would seem... never heard a bunch of griping and calling for coaches jobs when plays didn't work.Ohio State has to have the worst fans. They take rabid fan to another level. Almost on a Oakland/KC level. It's not an enjoyable experience at all to support your team in their stadium.I can't include any SEC teams in my "best fans" experiences, because I can point out different ways they are all ******** (including my own UGA fanbase). There is no love lost between SEC fanbases... almost every team is a rival of some sort.
