The Falcon Jedi
I have a lot of ideas for Opening Day tomorrow, but I want this to be Special. What is your best cuisine for Football Sundays? Healthy is not an issue - the arteries can just deal with it tomorrow. Give me your best, and I will pick and choose from all of your opinions. Thanks. USAF HART
A few things that I love to eat regardless of football season or not:1.) Boiled Peanuts2.) Lil Smokies in a crockpot full of BBQ sauce3.) A little thing I came up with myself(at least I never have seen anyone else do it)..Take some Hawaiin Bread(can be found in your local bread section), and then get the cheese dip from the chip Aisle and dip the Hawaiin bread in the cheese. Absolutely scrumptious 4.) Anything my wife decides to cook like Chicken bacon bites. She takes boneless/skinless chicken breasts, cuts them into cubes. Cuts up some maple bacon and wraps it around the chicken. once wrapped stick toothpicks through them and roll them around a powder mixture of Brown Sugar and Chilli powder. bake them in the oven until cooked. AMAZING

RFlagg
That is an interesting 2 menus. Im curious. The meat is always the cornerstone. The Creole Pork is actually done in a crock pot, cooking for 7-9 hours. As for the BBQ, the meat is done in an oven, cooking for 3-4 hours. In both cases, the meat is falling apart by the time it's done.

The Falcon Jedi
They key is really to eat something that doesnt make you want to fall asleep right after you're done. I dont want to pass out on the couch after Im done eating, so I dont know about adding bacon or too much heavy meat or steak. I guess this is why Buffalo Wings are a preferred choice of eating for a football game.

I could eat a pound of Turkey and still not fall asleep lol.I just want something that I can munch on during the whole game, slowly. Not devour all at one time and get too full. THat's what Im looking for.I dont need a sirloin steak, or any huge meal that gets eaten all at once. Just a good recipe of something that I can pick on during the whole game. phattywankenobi
I like to mix up some good wing sauce and make a big plate of wings or a huge platter of nachos with some good beer on ice. Simple but happy Sunday.

The Falcon Jedi
Sounds great. Thanks. That does sound good, but Im wary of the Bacon. Bacon has stuff in it that makes you drowsy after you eat it.
