its time for Democrats to embrace Hillary

When Republicans blitzkrieg into Congress this November Democrats are going to have make a change at Quarterback or risk a Republican triple crown that will all but seal their fate for the next decade. I am no fan of Hillary, but I will admit she has proven me wrong with what type of Senator she has been. She is no longer the wide eyed "dont stop thinking about tommorrow" socialist that she was when she loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly back in 92. She is battle tested tried and true and is better equipped to navigate a row boat through a hurricane than Obama. With Republicans as determined as ever to drive the political stake in his heart and moderate Democrats claiming " I am an independent voice for my constituents", Obama is fast becoming a lame duck... more like a fish flopping on the pier in his death throws.

Hillary could hit the re-start button for Democrats by pulling in Republicans from day one and playing the Washington game of give and take that her husband perfected after 94. She isnt dumb enough to put a gun in corporate Americas mouth and businesses would start turning lose the cash they have been itching to invest. I still wont be voting for her, but I could sleep a little easier at night knowing that we actually had a competent President.

I seem to remember back in 1991 a whole lot of political pundits saying that the Democrats had no chance to win the WH in 1992.

Also, the same comments about Clinton's chances in 1996 were being made after the 1994 mid-term elections.

Neither turned out the way the pundits predicted. Two years in politics is an eternity.

This is what I find amazing. When Democratic Presidents act like Democrats they fall drastically in the polls or lose office altogether (Clinto - Carter). When Republican Presidents (Bush 41) act like Deomocrats they get ran. Obama is going to have to pull a Clinton and give in to many Republican initiatives to jump start the economy. Funny thing is, even if none of those initiatives are his idea, if they turn the economy around the American public will be dumb enough to give Obama the credit for it just like they did Clinton. Will Republicans throw Obama a lifeline? I think they learned their lesson from before.

Everything you just said = Your Obama vote didn't work out.

I could have told you that before you voted for that guy. He doesn't have experience and it shows.
