Can someone please tell me what exactly Michael Jenkins shoulder injury was??? I know he had a 4-6 weeks recovery time for it. It really kind of pisses me off that he isnt going to be ready. It has been 4 weeks. With the NFL quality trainers and rehab and all that good stuff I think it is kind of pathetic that he isnt going to be ready. You got players like Welker and T.O. that come back way ahead of schedule with broken freaking legs and our boy has a hurt shoulder. COME ON... MAn up.

Just my opinion.

Maybe, just maybe the trainers prediction of 4-6 weeks was accurate and he will be back in the next two weeks?

Oh well. Looks like we just have to man up and deal w/ it. They have thier QB out. We need to put up if we plan to be a real contending team who demands respect. The steelers D at full strength is a good benchmark to make an opening game statement to the rest of the folks on the sked.... can I have an amen.

yeah I understand that, but he should of been in the training room getting whatever treatment he possibly could to get himself ready to go.

Smitty said he's been rehabbing. He mentioned him catching and throwing last week.

"He's on track," Smith said. "I think you guys may have noticed (in practice) Michael's catching the ball, throwing the ball. I think that time frame that we mentioned when the injury first occurred, I think we're still on schedule for that."

If it was a collarbone injury then 6 weeks is more on the soonest side of the rehab. If he sprained his shoulder and bruised thebursa, then 6 weeks is about right. He can take shots for the bursa, but if ligaments were strained and ROM is affected then he will need every day of 6 weeks to heal properly. I would rather he heal and return at 100% than to rush his return and possibly reinjure the joint. Manning up is not the problem young fan. I've inflamed my bursa, foregone the steroid shots and it still took a month before I got ROM back and slept a good nights sleep. But then I'm 52... You may not truly appreciate it yet because you are young and heal more quickly. But, wait another 15 years or so and you'll feel you growing pains, trust me... Of course that depends upon how active you are.

Do you run full speed and take a header with another 200 pounds landing on top of you?
