KingBird33
Why are we still so high on this guy? Its not like he's gonna breakout this season. He is actually getting pretty old. Not trying to piss any jenkins fans off but he really wasn't 1st round caliber when we drafted him. I think the only upside to him is his Blocking for our running game. What do yall think? HouseofEuphoria
I think the only upside to him is his Blocking for our running game. Considering we are a run-first, possession type, clock burning, smash mouth, power-I teamI cant think of any upside that might be more important for our 4th option receiver. What do yall think?I think we have run the well dry on Jenkins talk. He's not going anywhere, unfortuanately. We extended his contract recently too. So until a trade happens, or maybe a career ending injury, he's not going anywhere. vincent Jackson, but don't get you hopes up. This I have a feeling, is our team, so go buy some Jenkins jersies if you can find any and hope for the best.

Imo its as bad as it will get. I think Harry Douglas is a better WR. If we wanted jenkins just to block we should make a position switch to TE, but like i said IMO. paulitik
I like him, I just don't trust him. Everytime I start to think he's getting there, he drops a pass, deflects a pass for an INT, or just doesn't show up. His performance last season after a more than generous extension really left me with a bad taste in my mouth. With Roddy coming in late, HD out, if ever we needed him to step up, it was then and he blew it. I blame the NE loss on him. He killed the little momentum we had, the Giants game didn't help even though he kind of sorta redeemed himself later in the game.I'm fine with him as 3 or 4, but I really want to see another deep threat at 2. What do yall think?Somebody is high on this guy? If you had proof for that assertion then you could have marked this thread as "Breaking News".I will say this for Jenkins: He is a "gamer". He comes to play. He puts the team before his own personal stats. He keeps his nose clean. He rarely blows an assignment. He is willing to do whatever he is asked to do. He hasn't lost a step. He never fumbles. Now if he could just get open more often and also hang onto the balls thrown his way a bit more reliably, then he might actually have some people "high on this guy".Drafting anyone out of Ohio State in the 1st round is a reach. Also drafting any WR in the first round is also dubious except in very rare cases. I can't imagine Jenkins ever living up to his draft status, but frankly I let go of that expectation years ago.Of course I will be rooting for Jenkins to make me and all the other dubious nay-sayers look bad in 2010.
