Cable Guy
It's no wonder why some of these players have a big heads, think they are all world and expect the spoiled treatment where ever they go. I wonder how the other players on the team feel.
kicker_jesus
ArticleCoach says they will forfeit the games and will not play without him.I definitely don't condone O'leary's actions at the end of the game, but man did Dwyer get robbed by those officials...they had to be from the SEC
AutoMax
They aren't forfeiting now. They are appealing the suspension. Florida team got screwed. Even Kirk said so. It's not surprising to me. That's Ohio for ya.
Threepac Daddy
i understand what nick is coming and its hard to keep your emotions in checked after a game like this. I should have been suspended several game when i played high school ball for all the profanity i yelled at the refs and the occasional #1 salute to the other team and fans

I can understand his frustration and that in the heat of the moment emotions can get the best of you, but at the same time, you're a big time recruit on national television, should conduct yourself better than that. A regular HS game with a regular player, this probably goes unnoticed. Not so much when you're one of the top recruits playing in a big time game. It just doesn't happen. Should he have done it? No. Should the rest of population outside of Ohio understand why he did? I would think so. He, along with every other person involved with the game, has every right to be pissed. They got royally screwed. I think you won't find anyone to disagree with that. All I'm saying, is there is certain ways to conduct yourself. Personally, there are better ways to handle your frustration instead of flipping off the ref. What good is that going to do? Make the ref change his mind? In reality, all it does is get you in the newspapers and labelled as a hot head and suspended for 2 games. How is that helpful to your team? There is no reason to crucify a high school teenager for having a moment of anger in a situation like that. It's not going to improve anything, but it probably did help him to vent. *shrug* The kid plays like every position on the team. He probably took it personally and I can't say I blame him. I may not agree on his reaction, but you're right, we can't crucify the kid over something like this. If we did, just about every teenager ever would be in the same boat. I know I would have. freakyfalcon
Wow, I dont blame O'Leary for being pissed. Looked like they got the referee crew from Mayberry for that game. Major screw job at the end of that one.
ChuyDawg
I finally looked up the highlights after it reached the ESPN headlines. How are those refs not in prison for the blatant robbery?I cannot blame the kid one bit, I think it could have been alot worse. A brawl could have easily broken out due the incompetent refs. I know what I would have done, every ref would have been knocked out. Those kids went into another team's house and played their tails off and just to have some corupt refs take it away from them, that's tough to deal with man especially if you're a HS kid.
