millenium falcon
bruggeman only made the squad because mike johnson sprained his knee and hasn't even practiced. as long as the knee injury is not more serious than they say, bruggeman may be cut after johnsons return. walker may be the first one gone since we know babinaux will be back after game one completeing his suspension. corey peters also had a knee injury so that was another reason walker was needed game one. walker may play a lot game one. with jerry coming back from knee injury, he could be on a snap count.finneran may very well have not been here with a healthy meier. his chances were enhanced by jenkins injury. he offers us a vet with 3 years in the system for game one, but when jenkins comes back and HD proves to be the impact player he was in 08, finneran could see little time or even be replaced by andy strickland. he does play several roles which could allow him a full season. he is the good hands man on squib kicks, and sometimes on punts. he also is a good hands safety on defense when the opponent is looking at an obvious hail mary. his spot may have been guaranteed when meier was lost for the year, but with his expected return, this year should very well be finnerans last.antone smith is the #2 KR and possibly #3 PR behind weems and HD. he better hold on to the ball though, because he may be on a short leash. he better start catching the ball out of the back field more consistantly as well. he is a quick runner, but he does not pack much of a wallop. he could be another guy that loses his spot on the rosetr before season's end not injury related. that is 4 positions being the 9th OL, 4th DT, 4th WR, and 4th RB. that is not bad. our starters are very good and so are many of the back ups. any changes we may make will probably have little or no impact on game days. Curveball
Actually it is Hawley that is hurt not Johnson. Johnson is now okay. Hawley is out so Bruggeman is backing up center.
HouseofEuphoria
*Bruggeman shouldnt have even made the team. It should be Valdez instead. *Antone Smith didnt do half of what Nance did in preseason. Still a mystery how he made the team regardless of his value in reproducing opponents RBs in game planning practices.*I like Walker, and with Peters injury and Babs suspension keeping him was needed. Not sure ifhe stays on the 53 man roster after Babs comes back, but if it was up to me i would have told Robert James to hit the curb a long time ago and given that roster spot to Walker. Come to think of it....why isJames still on the roster?*Finn....not much i can say. We're handcuffed to a point. Jenkins and Meiers injuries forced him into a much bigger role than any of us would have liked, but he is dependable when healthyand in our run first scheme he wont be relied upon to be the game changer anyway. I am reallydisappointed that Jenkins has not even returned to practice yet. Looks like he'll be out this week, possibly next week, and who knows? I'm holding out hope that we're still looking at V. Jackson by week 4. Obviously, none of us feel comfortable going through the whole season with our currentWR corps. I'm hoping we pull the trigger on something sooner rather than later. MattM12
i think walker and finn stay tbh, love walker's upside and Finn is reliable and the depth is shaky. Only if we bring in an upgrade does he not stick
Rock Howard
*Bruggeman shouldnt have even made the team. It should be Valdez instead. Bruggeman destined for PS as well. Just backing up at C for now.*Antone Smith didnt do half of what Nance did in preseason. Still a mystery how he made the team regardless of his value in reproducing opponents RBs in game planning practices.Antoine is better suited to replace Norwood in case Jerious hip acts up. That is important as I predict that the speed back will have an enhanced role in the offense in 2010.*I like Walker, and with Peters injury and Babs suspension keeping him was needed. Not sure ifhe stays on the 53 man roster after Babs comes back, but if it was up to me i would have told Robert James to hit the curb a long time ago and given that roster spot to Walker. Come to think of it....why isJames still on the roster?James is not on the active roster. Suspended for 4 games. After that he is probably gone.
