New Falcons fan here

I've been reading the board since you guys drafted Willy Mo. I just graduated from Mizzou so I've been following Willy Mo and Spoon for the past few years. I know the Falcons fans have been disappointed in Moore's output b/c of the injuries he had last season but I don't think I need to tell you how big of a bad *** he is when he's healthy; hopefully he can stay that way this year. As far as Spoon is concerned, I've hung out with him on more than one occasion and he might be one of the most genuine people I've ever met. I hope he plays as well for the Falcons as he did at Mizzou.

I usually only stop by here about once every couple of weeks so any updates on how they've been playing would be appreciated.

On another note, the reason I signed up tonight is b/c I just finished my ff draft. I took Ryan with my first qb pick. I was just wondering what you guys expect from him this year. He starts off against Pittsburgh, and I'm trying to figure out who to start at qb, as I also have Favre going against new orleans (who I don't know much about their defense).

Anyway, sorry for rambling, but good luck this year and hopefully you'll meet up against my Chiefs in the Super Bowl at the end of the year (I can dream, right?).

Willy Mo has been slowed by injuries but finally looks healthy and showed flashes of what he is capable of. I don't think he has any shot of unseating Coleman this season but if he remains healthy, I think he starts next season.

As for the Falcons, I don't think we showed much of our O in the preseason. I think we're gonna have a **** good season. Keep an eye on our D, I think it will top 15 with potential to be top 10.

As for fantasy, I'm no expert but I wouldn't start Ryan this week against Pitts D. We're gonna win but it may be an ugly win. Oh and welcome to the boards.

Welcome, yeah I'm not sure about Ryan this week, on the road, for fantasy purposes. Favre will probably give a good effort in NO. I'd start him.

Thanks, guys. Yeah, it's not an easy decision. The Steelers D is tough but you need to keep in mind they're starting Dixon on offense. Hopefully the lb corp of Peterson, Spoon, and Lofton can neutralize his runs, and keep the Falcons in good field position.

I know Ryan is still coming into his own but I'm hoping with weapons like Gonzo, Turner, and White he'll have more than enough options to keep the offense rolling.

What's your offensive line looking like? Is Ryan gonna have enough time to check down this year? TIA.

LOL too close man... too close

Yeah, I thought about it for a minute then realized that I am a Sigma *** Laude Graduate of the James Brown School for the Ethnically Challenged so I figured it would pass.

But you are correct sir, some guys might take that the wrong way. I wish to state that the above reference to those individuals who choose to Neg people is in no way a reference to race, religion, skin color, or sexual orientation!

I will refrain from the use of the term in the future. What is the proper designation for people who Neg people?

If we take the lead, then expect to see the running game emphasized. We have a pretty old school offense. It's balanced, but we love to run the ball whenever the situation allows for it. And if we get behind, our passing game hasn't looked in synch yet and Ryan is still a young QB that's prone to some mistakes. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a low-scoring grind.
